Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'll also add anyone who has sent their number or whatever, so you should be in regardless.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not use this for open discussion like it was when we tried it 2 years ago. To reduce spam/battery drain let's focus on only using it for informational messages in regards to getting everyone organized in Camp Inforoo.
I think my battery was half dead by the time I friggin parked in '11 due to the massive amount of texts I got.
Hence why I will be the only one sending texts this time
Hey folks! My name is Zach, this is my second Bonnaroo. And this year i'm going solo.......So ive been trying to find a group to camp with so I dont feel entirely lonely. I read somewhere about camp inforoo. But I dont remember it from last year? Is this the place to solo roo goers? Coming from Dallas, TX too.
Take Care Zach
This is our second year too Zach and camping with the fine folks at Camp Inforoo was like big gooey icing on the Bonnaroo cake . Camp Inforoo seems to be for whomever wants to enjoy the group camping experience and is willing to help each other out for the common good. There is a central "living room" area where everyone congregates to hang out and this is made possible by the contributions of the participants. Yes, it means you haul one or two more items in with you along with your tent, but it's really worth it. The location varies each year but I think it's generally towards the middle of the Tent Only section which is just outside of the arch. Get in on the phonelist and meet up ahead of time (which is what we did last year) so you can find everyone easily. Good luck and see you there!
Hence why I will be the only one sending texts this time
You can do that? sweet. So, how many people are we up to at camp inforoo?
It will be on the honor system (no way to restrict) but I'm making it clear beforehand so hopefully everyone will respect it. I'll send out a message to the group on Tuesday to that effect as well.
Hard to count at this point, usually there's a ton of people beforehand but less actually show up... but last year was huge so hard to say.

So, I've got a big question/favor--is anybody going to have any extra room in their car for water/beer? I'm going to be flying, not renting a car, and basically only have room in my backpack. I'm going to be checking an EZ Up. So, no room for anything else. Should I start a new thread? I didn't see a Helping Hands thread for this year, so I started that--got nowhere so far with it. Thanks in advance.

We can hook you up, Joey. We will be in Accessibility camping, so not far from camp Inforoo. Send me a PM and let me know what all you'd like/how much.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
We are a group of five. Me (Lynn), the three girls (Amanda, Leah and Hollis) and my sister in law (Susan). I'm dropping the three girls off at the gate on Wednesday afternoon then heading down to Huntsville for an overnight with an old friend. The girls are bringing in our 10X20 carport and will get it all set up. I invested in one of those 2X4 foot super wagons for them to haul everything and that is available for the common good. We also bring the big Hatteras Hammock and will set it up outside our carport for whoever needs some relaxing time I also have ordered the banner and have an awesome photo on it, thanks to Fawnmart. You will just have to wait to see it! So, the kids will be there, walking in, carting all the stuff they need to set up that night and helping anyone else who is there early. Susan and I are coming in on Thursday midday.
Nice setup, thanks Mom! I call dibs on the hammock from passing out 'o clock to half past hangover
I haven't been around the boards much this year, but I'll be there! I'm coming in solo on Thursday, late morning or early afternoon.
I have an EZ-UP that I'm planning to put over my tent, but my tent is very small so if someone else with a small tent wants to put theirs under it as well I think that would work.

OK folks, looks like I'll probably be getting in sometime in the evening on Wednesday, as long as my Zimride people get back to me. Now, thanks to lovelucklaughter, all I need is a spot in someone's cooler. ANybody at inforoo able to help me out?

Camp Thunderlips. Tent Only has been reduced to one lot now. It used to include Camp Adrian! and Camp Clubber Lang. Clubber Lang is now used for the Tent City.

The way they have it now everyone has basically setup right beside each other and you can't go far without tripping over something. I can see why they wanted to change the policy where only those flying in or taking a bus could use it, but I'm glad they didn't. Give Tent Only back Camp Adrian!, Bonnaroo!
Darmok + girlfriend, we will be arriving Thursday at around 11pm - I know, super late but GF couldnt get off work before. Hopefully there's still space for us. So excited to join the Inforoo camp this year.
We will have a small tent and will buy an ezup at Walmart on our way there.
Has anyone else had trouble with logging in to groupme? I'm not sure if there is some kind of pop up blocker on my work computer, but I am unable to join.

Alrighty then! I pulled the trigger and am travelling solo from Seattle Arrive BNA Tuesday night. Would like to join the Inforoo train. My goal is to go ultra light with my gear but should still have my Alcove shade shelter, tent, chair, collapsible cooler etc. Let me know if any one needs a ride. Oh! And what is the terrain like from parking to Tent only camping? I have a wheelie beast on wheels and hope that will work. thoughts??

It is basically dirt and gravel roads. You should have no trouble. I've used a utility cart the past few years and it's been easy moving. I've even used a dolly once and have seen many people using shopping carts.
edit: Just looked up Wheelie Beast and it's basically just rollable luggage. No trouble still, but you may have to make an extra trip or find some help to get the chair and cooler to Tent Only if it will not all fit into the Wheelie Beast. It looks like the Alcove shelter probably folds up and is very portable.

Thanks so much! I thought so. I aspire to have a whole campsite sans stove in my wheelie beast and then my roller board carry on suitcase. We shall see! I've been to Roo back in 2008 but we did VIP. I'm excited to finally get back!
Despite having cellphones and the GroupMe app, I still have a feeling it'll be a bit of a bitch to fund the actual camp.
I know iOS users have the "pin drop" feature so they could find the exact spot the pin is dropped. Is there anything like that for Android that non iPhone people can/could use?
Hey folks, I've been lurking on this site since 09 when I was gearing up for my first Roo experience. This is going to be my second year and I'd like to pay a visit to the site to get to know some of the folks that make this board so interesting. I'm coming from PA with three friends and I plan to buy an Inforoo shirt to wear Thursday or Friday. Keep an eye out for a lost looking twenty three year old guy with an Inforoo shirt, that'll be me trying to find the site!!! Also, how feasible do you think it will be for me to throw on a backpack with some beer, H2O and food to take and drop off at the site? Though I don't plan on sleeping there I would like to hang out a considerable amount. Any advice?
Hey guys. My friend and I will be flying in Thursday morning and taking a shuttle from Nashville airport to the farm. We were planning on stopping at Walmart and picking up supplies. How difficult would it be to get to Walmart and back?
Also does anyone have an extra cooler we can use? It would be really helpful!!

This will be my 1st Roo (1st Roo also for my sister who is coming with me) and am thinking of joining Camp Inforoo - the only thing holding me back right now is the strong feeling I have that we won't be able to find it! Having never been to the farm and planning (right now anyways) to arrive around 2-3am Thursday morning, I am thinking I might have a hard time finding TO, let alone Camp Inforoo. Is this a legitimate concern, are the grounds big enough that I'd be overwhelmed trying to find Camp Inforoo in the dark?
If we do come we plan on having an extra ez-up for shade and 20-30 extra beers for any inforoosters in need.
I just remade the flagpole, it's now 16 ft (it was 12). I'll be coming in Thurs morning and the flag will go up first thing. Look for this to make your way to Camp Inforoo.
