Looking for something really small that I can put in the pocket of my Camelbak and use walking back to camp at night. It doesn't have to be extra bright.
I bought a little Black Diamond 10 years ago and it finally bit the dust.

Seems about right. I've been using a Field & Stream 7 LED bulb headlamp that's lasted a couple years now. From the reviews it sounds like the model you picked has a weird battery size, mine takes 3 AAA. Is it a decent buy? I dunno man, batteries leave me with a question mark.

Yep yours is definitely smaller but the one I use fits well inside a pocket. I bought mine at Dick's Sporting for +/- $12. It's pretty bright. Guestimated Measurements are 2x2x1 length width depth respectively but bright as shit.
2x2x1 really isn't too bad. maybe i should swing by rei before i head to amazon for the replacement black diamond (terrible, i know). plus, your headlamp takes normal batteries.
If anyone has a Target nearby I have a great headlamp offer. Do you know that cheap section they have at the door, the place where they have cheap dollar store type stuff? Well in there I spotted a $3 headlamp and bought it to see if its any good. Well when I got home I found out it was the very same one my wife has had for years and it is indeed worth much more than $3. Hers coincidentally broke when the battery door was lost but technically with that door it still is in good shape. So for $3 its a great buy. I would advise buying 2 at that price one for now and another for a few years down that road when this one fails.
If you're a ballcap wearing kinda dude, Academy sports has those LED headlamps that clip on to the bill of your cap.
Big Lots also carries a cap light. If you see theirs with the adjustable "hinge" that allows you to point the light down relative to your hat brim, get it. It is bright enough, it's light, and you can point at where you are about to step without having to tip your cap or head too far down. I don't mind wearing a hat, and I really dislike the strap-type headlamps, so this $3 one is perfect for me. It runs on little CR2032 batteries, so the burn time is probably not that great, but mine is about to go into its third Roo on the original batteries. You wouldn't trust it for serious night trekking, but for festie portos, short walks, and working under cars it rocks.

for christmas my mom bought me a cap with LED lights built in, you just push a button under the bill to activate the LEDs. There is a pair that shoots forward for walking, and a pair that shoot more under the cap, probably good for looking through your bag or otherwise identify objects you are holding.
Haven't had much use for it yet, but she bought it specifically with dark festivals in mind, so I'm looking forward to breaking it out at Roo.
