It sort of depends how we define a sell out - since there's no set limit on how many people can fit onto the farm, a sellout is whatever Superfly says it is, and their definition of a sellout is pretty much "however many tickets we sold this year." Every year they say it's sold out, and every year it's a different number of tickets. But it won't be a sell out until a few days before the festival probably, so you definitely have quite a bit of time left. And yeah, there's always ebay.
at this point, I'm convinced that they call it a sell out a week before the festival every year, regardless of the actual number of tickets sold, so that they do not have to set up a ticket booth at the festival.

Good point but how hard is it to take $200+. I dont know they probably have a maximum amount of people they can let in every year not because of space but more supplies/staff/portojohns. Which is probably based on ticket sales.

Well, they'd have a ton of people who would be driving there and getting the tickets at the booth because they don't trust the internet. For the people in cars, they'd have to set up a whole other area for them to park, get out, and get their tickets, or it would hold up the line like the dickens. I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons, too. Seems like they could get overcrowded if they had ticket sales on-site.

haha I can just see the people in charge discussing it...
"So, uh, should we build a little ticket stand here, or...?" "Dude, how are we going to build a ticket stand?" "Um, we'll just, uhhhh..." "I mean, do we even have a hammer? Or, like, wood?" "...wanna just call it a sell out and go get a beer?"

Haha, it's probably like Gus in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...:
