The Adventures of Carlos the Cow:
a Bonnaroo Bedtime Story

This is a story about a cow. A cow who had a slight problem.
You see, Carlos was a cow with no spots. Out of his entire herd
he was the only cow who was completely white.

The only time Carlos ever felt like he fit in, was one day
after it rained. Carlos had a plan. It was the rain that brought mud.
It was the mud that brought Carlos spots. It was the spots
that helped Carlos fit in.

Because of the muddy spots, other cows would approach Carlos
as if he had always had spots. It was a dream come true.
Carlos had friends. Good friends he thought.
Carlos loved the rain.

Carlos loved spending time with his new buddies. They'd make up
milk jokes, and make fun of other animals who didn't have spots.
Carlos didn't know what to think. On one hand he fit right in,
while on the other hand he was sad. He once was spotless.
He used to be a punchline.

One day while hanging out with his new buddies, Carlos noticed
the sky was starting to get dark. One of his new friends made
up a joke about how the dark sky means one thing, chocolate milk.
Carlos laughed as he felt a drop of rain his nose. It's raining.

One by one the spots started to fade off of Carlos. His friends
saw this and started mooing and pointing their hooves at him
as they laughed. He no longer fit in.
Carlos hated the rain.

As it was raining Carlos left the farm. He was done trying to fit in.
A few miles down the road he heard some loud music coming from over
the hill. Carlos decided to check it out. It took a few hours to
reach the hilltop. When he saw where the music was coming from
his jaw dropped. It was beautiful.

Carlos walked down the hill to be greeted by a ton of cows
smiling from floppy ear to floppy ear. What was going on?
As Carlos got closer to what seemed to be a mirage he began
to smell fresh corn. All of the cows were eating corn.
Carlos loved corn.

A cow with spots walked up to Carlos with a smile and gave him
some corn. Surprised, Carlos looked around and realized he
wasn't the only spotless Cow in this crazy new world he'd found.
Some cows had spots and some cows didn't.

Everyone was happy and the music was loud. Carlos decided
to follow the music, which led him to an arch that
read, "bonnamoo". What was bonnamoo? It was full of happy
cows, Carlos did notice that.
Carlos loved bonnamoo.

Carlos finally felt at home. He had friends. Friends
with spots, and friends with none at all. Carlos ate corn
and had the time of his life. Nobody judged him
about his looks. In fact his uniqueness made him
stand out.

Carlos heard that bonnamoo would be ending the next day.
This made Carlos sad. He didn't want to leave his new
home. He had eaten the best corn and made the best friends.
The only problem at bonnamoo was the heat. Maybe it would rain.
Carlos loved the rain.
