I wasn't sure where to put something like this...it's not Bonnaroo related...and I'm sorry for being a downer...
I found some messages in my inbox asking me if I was ok because I live in OKC. I am fine!
If some of you don't know, we had a Tornado plow through Moore, OK. I drive through that town every day to go to work in OKC. I was 15 minutes from the site when it happened. Right now, they have confirmed 91 dead and still trying to find people buried in the rubble. This is a very congested doorstep neighborhood for OKC. My close friend and roommate was injured trying to get people to shelter and saw the tornado coming for them.
From what I have read Obama has declared it a national disaster and is helping. I know some of you can only offer prayers and I appreciate that! But if you can help, you can donate $10 to RedCross which has been on the site pretty much as soon as it happened, by texting REDCROSS to 90999.
I left work at 4:30 pm yesterday about 45 minutes after it happened and did not get home until 9. It takes me 30 minutes on a regular day to get home. That's how badly it impacted Moore and OKC. I was pretty much physically and emotionally drained by the time I got home. I just sat there with the news on and watched the body count rise and could do nothing but cry.
Please help if you can.
