The bands I'm currently going for: Royal Thunder, Swans, Baroness, John McLaughlin, Death Grips, Tame Impala, Japandroids, Portugal the Man, Wu Tang.
Outside of the fest I mostly listen to all kinds of metal, hardcore punk, and a bunch of psychedelic and progressive rock. Also love jam bands and wish Phish were this year =/ Not really into electronic unless it's psytrance or some of the more experimental stuff (like The Knife, Amon Tobin, Flying Lotus, Sphongle), and definitely not into folk or the indie pop.

Any other bands you guys think I may enjoy?
Since you like The Knife, you may like Purity Ring or Animal Collective. Since you like Tame Impala, you may like DIIV, Foals or Wild Nothing.
You might also hate all of these suggestions. I wouldn't call any of these heavy, but I think you may like them based on other bands you mentioned.

As far as Prog metal, I tend to like more prog/tech, but I still really like bands like: Nevermore Dream theater(Metal?) Cynic Strapping Young Lad Symphony X
