I am not crafty so I did not make a flag pole. I read somewhere that a telescoping pool skimmer pole works & you just zip tie it to your ez up & your flag to it. However, I bought one & it is definitely tall enough, but it seems kinda heavy & I'm not sure if it will hold up with winds even if it is tied to the ez up. Anyone ever tried this or have any suggestions?
I still have the receipt and can return it if this is a terrible idea.... I'm doing my dry run either today or tomorrow & am going to test it, but I don't think wind is in the forecast....

I use a painters pole, and I would assume its probably about the same weight... When I fasten it to the EZ up I duct tape about 4 feet of the pole to a leg... And I use a lot of duct tape to be safe. It's held up fine so far

awesome. thank you. I'm going to test it out when set everything up, but this makes me feel much better about it. now i just have to make sure that if it starts lightening at all i can take it down real quick.

Honestly, it's just easier to get this tailgating flag pole. I used it last year and at Coachella this year, it held up in really, really high winds. It's collapsable so you can easily transport it. I'll be using this for years to come. Tailgating collapsable flag pole 20 ft
