Has anyone else been receiving the email about this? It says the last chance to do Groop Camping, at no charge. I emailed them with some questions about what exactly this "experiment" is and what is required of the people who participate. I also asked if it is located with Groop camping or, if not, where it will be located.
I figure if it is a guaranteed spot closer to Centeroo I may check it out!

In case anyone was wondering here was their response:
Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your interest! As you may or may not know, within the walls of Centeroo, Bonnaroo has the waste management thing pretty dialed in, because they have control over most of the what’s there. From packaging to food waste, they know what they have to collect. Setting up those same systems outside in the campgrounds is much more difficult because of all of the stuff people bring with them. It’s a lot harder to set up collection when you have to be prepared with a bin for literally anything.
So we are setting up a pilot program for camping waste reduction with a select group of campers. We want to see if we can get campers to bring items that are recyclable, compostable or reusable instead of things that have to go to the landfill. We’ll have bins for each, and we’ll measure how much goes in each.
What you get: · A reserved spot in the Groop camping area
What you need to do now: · Sign up. We’ll need your name and address (to send you your Groop Camping parking pass) and the number of people in your party.
· Pack according to our What to Bring/What not to Bring list
What you need to do at ‘Roo: · Recycle or compost as much as possible.
· Landfill as little as possible.
· Pack out everything you pack in.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
