Full festival ticket for Primavera Sound 2014 that will take place from 29th to 31th May Access to all vip areas of Heineken and Primavera’s stages and their preferential viewing platforms. Exclusive bar and restaurant service. Exclusive entry-line for entering the festival. Priority entrance to scheduled shows in reduced capacity areas (clubs, concert halls and Auditori-Rockdelux). Welcome Pack. 24h reception telephone's service during the festival.
We made out fine with GA the year we went. I was on the rail for almost every show. The ONLY reason that I would say VIP vs GA is: Priority entrance to scheduled shows in reduced capacity areas (clubs, concert halls and Auditori-Rockdelux). The club shows (pre-fest) are next to impossible to get into (if you show up late). I never had a problem getting into the Auditori, but I could see (and did see) where it gets packed, quick. The "bigger" shows the usually charge a 2/3 Euro ticket price.
GA is $128 (US) VIP is $194 (US)
Later on in October, you can get two GA passes for two festivals (Barcelona + Porto) for the price of One VIP ticket. Personally. that's what I would do. Porto will be more than half of the same bands, thus making the conflicts a bit easier.

Hmm in reflection maybe a bit top heavy Slowdive and Suede (are they still The London Suede in America?) probably in contention rather than Vampire Weekend
Bit of info on my thinking for you;
Last year's top 6 and UK/Europe size venue Blur - 10k Arenas, sell out Cave - 3 night 3-5k Theatre sell out MBV - 2x night 3-5k theatre, sell out Postal Service, JAMC, Phoenix - 2k Venue, sell out.
Kraftwerk haven't played conventional venues here for a while now. Played an art gallery and a velodrome last two visits. Headlined Bestival, Sonar and Benicassim in last 10 years though.
Outkast are 2nd to Bruno Mars @ Wireless, but we know they'll top most bills.
NIN and Vampire Weekend have/had slow selling Arena dates and maybe more suited to the same places as Cave and Pixies.
Pixies about the same as Cave and MBV, comfortably sell out big venues (Brixton academy is about 6k).
Arcade Fire sell out arenas now.
Doubt Slowdive would play a bigger room than JAMC or Postal Service. Which incidentally Suede played in October. (Blur, Cure, Pulp all headlined last 3 years, usually a longstanding UK indie band on high up)

I'm 90% positive about OutKast. Bestival also announced today they were headlining and while its a different time of the year, I can see them trying to get that out there first.
You're right on about Slowdive. I may be exaggerating how big they were in my head.
5 minutes till it drops and I finally found out what the movie is about.
