Look, I know that there isn't supposed to be any d talk on this forum, but i signed up just to get this message out because it could possibly save lives. I am not condoning any d use in this post. This post is just to give some info about something that i can see being a big problem at music festivals.
There is a new d called NBOMe (pronounced N-Bom) that is extremely potent and acts very much like LSD. It is becoming exceedingly prevalent around the country and is being most often passed off as LSD. It has a threshold of 50 micrograms and the euphoric/psychedelic effects usually have an onset of 5-20 minutes. Some have reported that it has a very bitter or metallic taste. The LD50 (median lethal dose) is still unknown since this d was invented in 2010, but from what anecdotal reports that have been gathered it can be lethal, but only in pretty serious quantities. Most of the time, it is almost exactly like LSD and people who take it rarely tell the difference between the two. The biggest problem is when people take multiple hits at a time. The average (recommended?) dosage is 1-2 hits.
so my point is, that if you or a friend happen to find some blotter paper on the ground and are hellbent on consuming it, please, please, please take one and wait for an hour.
*i realize that it may be the mods duty to remove this thread, or at the very least edit some of my post for legal reasons... completely understandable, but please do not just remove this and act like it never happened. If you delete this thread, please make sure that you do SOMETHING to get the word out about this because it could save someones life. At the very least, post a link to an informative website like erowid or such with regards to NBOMe.*
As with OP, I completely understand the logic and reasoning behind the no d talk and I don't condone purchasing party favors out there, but I can't argue against warnings that will help people who are out there. To add to it, I heard from a number of sources last year that crushed bath salts were sold as other substances, so go see the bunk police and get a test kit.
