Due to more touring in the last 10 months than I have ever experienced, my voice has taken quite a beating. Although things will eventually be fine I have had to, unfortunately, cancel my appearance at Bonnaroo to give my throat a rest. As of right now it isn’t working properly at all - no way for a singer to be. To be clear, it is an honor to be asked to play such a festival and I take the invitation very seriously. Cancelling is a last option and only one I consider as it affects my long term health.
For all those that expressed such enthusiasm for my appearance I am extraordinarily bummed I can’t spend time making music with you, have a wonderful time, I’m so sorry that I will miss it, fingers crossed we can do it again soon.

Interesting. I saw Garth at a tiny little fair in a place called Plant City Florida just outside of Tampa. This wasnt even the main county fair it was something called thr Strawberry Festival because they grow lots lf strawberries there. I might have been 10?
Strawberry Festival is not that small of a festival. We had Blake Shelton, Foreigner, Bret Michaels, Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride, Casting Crowns, Brantley Gilbert and more there this year.
