Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Welcome to the Dallas to Bonnaroo Express! My name is Zach and I'll be your conductor for your journey to CicadaLand, I mean, the Bonnaroo Music Festival. All traveling either from the Dallas area or coming from south Texas are welcome to join the convoy. The more the merrier, plus a better camp cuz we'll have a good group and alot of room.
I will be carrying a CB or Walkie Talkie for communication purposes so I would suggest tracking one down so we can all stay in touch while in rout. Especially since Arkansas forgot to install Cell Towers so you are screwed in that state.
I own a home in Denton, TX (just north of Dallas and Ft. Worth on I-35E or W, basically it is right where 35 rejoins into one freeway going north) and anyone who plans on getting to the Dallas area a day or two before our convoy gets rolling is welcome to crash at my home. Just let me know.
As I see it here are the important things we have to decide on...
1. When we leave (7th, 8th or 9th)
2. Where are we gonna meet in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area...I'm thinking someone in the general Mesquite or Plano area since that is the direction we need to head toward Texarkana.
3. Cars, Buses, RV's...Transportation Decisions, Carpools, etc. If we want to consolidate rides or cars, if someone wants to rent an RV, whatever ideas of this, lets figure it out.
4. Campsite Decoration. Come on gang, we're from F'N TEXAS HERE!
Feel free to chip in other ideas as we are less than 70 days from Bonnaroo!!
"Cause we gotta little ol' convoy, rockin' through the night Yeah we gotta little ol' convoy, ain't she a beautiful sight? Come on an' join our convoy, ain't nothin' gonna git in our way We're gonna roll this truckin' convoy, cross the USA Convoy... Convoy... "
Hey. I am from Fort Hood (Central Texas) and would love to travel up to Bonnaroo with you. I'm travelling with two other guys and we're bringing their truck. If it were up to me, I'd tell you right now we're down for the convoy. However, the decision isn't mine because I'm not driving, so for right now it's just another idea. I will definitely ask my friends how they feel about going with some other fellow Texans--with any luck they'll dig the idea, but we'll see. I'll let you know as soon as I can. The Texas Flag idea sounds awesome too, by the way.
We have a fledgling website dedicated just to our Bonnaroo Caravan. I will use it to post major info, maps, plans, etc. Plus, all ways to contact me are on it.

We are 4 guys travelling from Australia. We will be in Dallas for the Crossroads Guitar Festival on the 5th and 6th and plan to head to Bonnaroo afterwards. We won't have a vehicle but we will have our Bonnaroo spirit and plenty of stories from Crossroads. Can we join the caravan of dreams or make other arrangements for a ride to Bonnaroo?
You are doing a great job mate, keep up the good work! (Yes, we even hear about you down under!)

You Chillibonz - Whassup?? Are you Ray Gaston? Coz if you are, I just sent you an email.. If not, it's quite extraordinary that you both wrote pretty much, word for word, the same thing.
So if you are not Ray Gaston please read on... Thanks for the reply - at this stage we need to work out whether we're gonna get a car or not - coz we'll have this other guy to pick up along the way who won't be with us at Crossroads. So we need a few days to co-ordinate things - but the offer sounds ver exciting and we are very grateful! So we will be in touch...
