My parents got a single day ticket to come in on Friday on the shuttle. They should be arriving around 12:30 Friday and leaving at 3am. They've asked me what they should bring/see and I've given them a few tips, but I can't wrap my head around only 1 day, so I don't want to tell them they need too much stuff.
What would your advice be for two brand new to Roo people spending a day at the farm?
A bottle for water (to refill), hats, sunscreen, a blanket to sit on, toilet paper and hand sanitizer!
I had a friend who brought her dad for Jimmy Buffet's brief appearance in 2010 or 2011 (can't remember the year). They only stayed for a few hours, her dad had a blast.

just go where the music takes them. Make sure to have sunscreen, water, comfortable footware, a keen sense of adventure and be willing to take a chance on a band or two. Most of all, tell them to enjoy the moment.

This was pretty much what I told them. I suggested that my dad take a look at the schedule and pick one or two bands he'd like to check out, but to be flexible. There's so many times I've been heading to a certain stage, then my ears take me somewhere else. I warned my parents that we may not stick together much because we'll do a good bit of wandering and may not always want to go the same direction.
I wish they were going to be there in time for brunch
