4-effing-25-a-gallon here! Fuel is going to take a bigger chunk of the resources than usual. I'm grateful I live only 6 hours a way and there is no RV involved this year.
I've never really studied how it affects pump prices but the DOE publishes their weekly fuel prices on Monday nights. So, perhaps before a holiday or busy travel week, get gas Monday during the day.
eh, not stressed. just one of those "figures!" type things. I think it might just be the midwest (I'm in Cleveland and local news was bitching about it today). looks like the south/east still has better luck

I used an online calculator/converter thing to convert our Canadian cents per liter to the American dollars per gallon, and wow; people weren't exaggerating when they told us gas was cheaper on the other side of the border. 1.359 cents per liter converts to $5.30/gallon.
Our prices spiked a couple of weeks ago.
Let's just say, our first few gas stops will be refreshing. After that, I don't think we'll care anymore. It'll seem like a fortune.
