It's feasible but if you feel uncomfortable at all I suggest finding/camping at Camp Inforoo and making friends with some of us there. You will likely find buddies to join you at some shows. I don't think you have much to worry about but I've heard some weird stories from people. Just be cautious and make smart choices.

Everyone is going to single you out and make you feel unwelcomed.
In all honesty though I don't know why this would be a problem? Just use common sense of people who to talk to and who not to. Mostly everyone there is SUPER accepting and will make you feel like family. I see no problems. Oh and know your own limits, its always nice to have someone who has your back but if you know how to take care of yourself you'll be fine! Just my thoughts though
Ill agree there with Lukecrazyarms. buddy up with your neighbors so they can keep an eye on your back. I did last year and make some good friends. Im going Solo again this year, and hopefully will have good neighbors again.

I went alone in 2010, made friends with my neighbors and had an amazing weekend! You'll have a great time! If you want to meet up with a trustworthy group of people PM me
I would be totally comfortable going to Roo by myself. If you've never been before I can see being uneasy about it, but really, the majority of people you will meet will be pretty awesome/willing to help if you need it.
Even though for the last six years my little brother was at Bonnaroo and we would meet up and hang, I often would camp by myself. I also wander around by myself 90% of the time and sleep alone at night by myself. This year, he actually won't be there, so I am truly going alone this year.
@itrainmonekeys mentioned an excellent point. Camping with Camp Inforoo is actually a great idea. Feel free to PM me as well if you want to meet up at some point or if you end up needing any help or questions!! One of the best parts about Bonnaroo are the people. You can befriend just about anyone at the festival. You're going to have an amazing time.

You will be fine, buddy up to your neighbors and camp inforoo if you can. If at any time you feel threatened or scared grab a lady and ask if she would help you back to your camp

Be careful what you eat or drink from strangers. Not saying you can't trust anyone but, much like real life, occasionally there will be someone who isn't looking out for your best interests. Also, if you camp by your car, make sure you know the best/easiest way to get to and from your camping spot. When walking back to camp at night it can be very easy to get lost/turned around and not know where you're heading lol.

I personally shared drinks with "new friends" (ie strangers) at Roo last year, but I was with my husband. I would not do that if I was alone.
Also, if you are far from Centeroo, you may feel safer bringing a stack of $5's and taking Festicab back at night. There were a couple of times late at night I found my hubby and self walking alone through the woods by Pod 2. I didn't feel unsafe, but they were kind of horror movie creepy. During the daytime and when there were crowds I had no problems.
But I honestly feel safer by myself in Centeroo than I do at night in my own home. Bonnaroo has a MAJORLY different vibe from other large group events.
I was basically alone my first Roo and I had no problems at all. I got to see everything I wanted to see without having to plan out meet-ups & such. Don't get me wrong; I loved having my husband with me last year. But there is something nice about just doing your own thing & making new friends.
Thank you for all the responses. My friend bailed on me at the last minute so I am deciding if I want to do this alone. I am actually camping at group camping. It's my first time going to Bonnaroo so I wasn't sure if this was a good idea to do this alone.

I went to Bonnaroo by myself last year. I'm female, 55 and a mom of 3 grown offspring. I drove 10 hours to the event. I had a great time and NEVER felt concerned for being alone or had ANY issues. (I never did manage to figure out that Camp Inforoo thing tho...) I had wanted to meet some other singles. Is there any meeting place this year for folks to meet up who are single?

I can see where you would be apprehensive about going alone, but like everyone said, just watch yourself, know your limits and don't eat/drink something from someone, just trust your gut instincts and you will be fine, I'm in Groop camping so if ya need someone to walk with ya or whatever just shoot me a MSG. This is my first Roo but I've done SEVERAL other similar situations. So if ya need a friend, let me know!!!

I would rather do Roo alone, than not at all.
Also, there are a few of us from here doing groop camping as well! You should definitely try and meet up with us!
I'm also coming solo (well I'll have my 16yr old with me). It's a little nerve wrecking, but I will deal with it in order to go. Just be cautious, know your surroundings.

I'm confused by this. Isn't there a minimum number of people you have to sign up with to do groop camping? If that's the case, wouldn't you know others in your group?

Some groops couldn't fill the required number and were asking for anyone who wanted to join them. I'm assuming this is the case here.
I am in a group, yes. I am suppose to be with 3 other people in their car but we ended up renting our own car but I'm still camping over there with them. I don't know them and my friend is not going so I am going alone.
