I've been in Pod 1 for the past two years and to be honest, I really love it. I wait maybe 45 minutes on the line into the farm and BFE becomes a giant party on Wednesday night. The walk to Centeroo isnt bad either, i either try and get in by the What Stage or if i'm not in a hurry take the long way and hit up Shakedown on the way there.
Been lurking in and out of here for a few years now.
pod 10 and 11 is "super BFE?"
I've been camped there before, quit being wusses. I dont remember how long it took to walk to centeroo, but I do know that as long as you have water then walking shouldnt be a problem. and if walking is a problem, you may be at the wrong festival.
it's good to know that i've already suffered the worst camping there is and I didnt even know it
LOL i jinxed myself and got Rusty Griswald this year and it wasnt even bad

In 2011 we got stuck in Pod 11. That was easily a 45-minute walk to Centeroo. The only good thing about it was we were able to buy ice from the neighbors on the other side of the fence. Festicabs came in handy by Sunday.
Last year I don't remember which pod it was, but it was close to the vendor area where Bushy Branch curves. That was only about 20 minutes to walk. And I saw that Pod 11 was completely empty.

SuperBFE sounds awful, but BFE wasn't that bad actually! You get to hang out with all us super cool volunteers/vendors (which if you're a GA lessens the shower burden cause that's 2 less campsites trying to use your showers) and Wednesday really is crazy.
At least for a first timer, it was also a lot more manageable people-wise (80,000 is a lot), a fair bit safer (off to the side, plus volunteers/vendors), and really not that bad. From the pod itself, it's about a 25 minute walk into Centeroo which certainly isn't like tent-only but it's not too bad. And obviously the What stage gate is life-changing.
