I have a quick question. I would really like to camp out in the Tent only area. I'm arriving in a car. Will I be able to drive semi-close to the tent-only area, unload my stuff, then park the car far away? Or do they immediately send you to park far away and you need to carry all your gear to the tent-only area?

Pretty sure you'd have to park your car and then haul all your stuff to Tent Only. It's a pretty crowded, busy area, and the map says "No Patron Traffic Allowed."

Depends on where they put you my friend.
You park your car (it may be anywhere, huge place) in a camp area (could be Pod 1, Could be literally anywhere) and basically haul all your stuff to Tent Only. It truly is the luck of the draw as to where they put you at the beginning. I have always believed the earlier you get there, the more likely you are way out in BFE. The key is moving all your stuff you need to Tent Only.
You can do this with a taxi on site or get a wagon/wheelbarrow/cart (or a lot of good friends) and hopefully get it all in one of two trips. The closer you are, the easier it is but if you are way out in BFE, a taxi makes the most sense to me.

I wasn't aware of these taxis.. you can grab a taxi from the parking lot to the tent-only? I'm asking because except for me, my group isn't what you'd say physically exceptional These taxis are basically golf carts right? Will I be able to fit tent materials, coolers etc?
It would be nice. They weren't running on Wed. last year so I don't expect they will this year. I dragged my EZ UP, tent and back pack to TO around 3am then later Thursday morning'ish I used a taxi to bring the rest of my supplies. They parked me in BFE, Pod 1 Pussy Galore. Best $10 (round trip) I ever spent!
j0zef negative, you will not be allowed to drive by TO. They'll park ya then you gotta figure it out from there. It ain't hard but it might be a hike!

So nobody has any experience with dropping a person off with a few items? (cooler, tent, ez up)
YES! that is what I have done the past 2 years and it works perfect.. BUT! then this past year we found out the hard way they lock you in pod 1. So who ever is waiting and saving at camping only, make sure they got supplies to keep them happy.
So once they see me do this, they're going to "lock" me in pod 1?
No, what happened was we entered through the interstate entrance and traffic was flowing right beside camping only. We just quickly got the ezups and tarps out, then 2 people found a spot and we got back in traffic. Traffic lead us to pod 1 and they kept us in till about 3am or some time around then.
