What products do you use for heating up water etc at your campsite (for those that do) I'd like to have oatmeal for breakfast and am trying to decide if I should use a little camp stove or an electric kettle of sorts plugged into a power brick.

I'm using a camp stove with a regular old tea kettle, so nothing electric. I haven't used it yet, but my brother took it to Wakarusa a week ago and he had no issues.
Thanks, I don't own either yet. So i'm just trying to decide which would be easier to purchase. I would rather not bring the propane for a stove, but my husband insists the electric won't heat very well off the power brick.

Tea kettle on as cheap and small of a camp stove as you can find, I think. If you want to do a lot of cooking or for a group of more than 2 or 3, get a 2-burner Coleman or something, but if it just about heating water you can go small and cheap. Walmart (sorry God) carries a tiny single-burner that sits atop a small tank for something like $15. If you are crafty by nature or on a nonexistent budget you can google "white box stove" and "penny stove" for instructions to make your own. I am bringing a functional, homemade hack-job of a stove and a Stanley camp pot, with a small coffee press.
