I have one of the super quiet honda generators... I plan on bringing it to run some lights, fans, radio, and charge electronics. I plan to only run it when people are awake around me. I also plan to offer to charge anyone's electronics around me or run any other electronics. I also plan on being in BFE cause I hear you might not be packed in as tight so less people would be affected if at all by any noise.
Am I completely wrong in hoping no one around us will care much and if so the ability to use the power will make their life's a little better in exchange?... I have read that quite a few people on here bring and use generators also. Thoughts?

It's super quiet and you'll be offering to let your neighbors use it? I think as long as you place it courteously away from neighboring tents you will have no problems at all
Thanks for your quick replies. Those are my thoughts also. I guess I'm just stressing a little bit over it. Also when to bring it out and how to bring it up to my neighbors. I should probably share a beer when I bring it out.

Yeah, just let em know when everyone is setting up. Unless they are total weenies they will be fine. It's Bonnaroo, it's pretty loud even at the quietest times.

I used the exact same one 2 years ago and am bringing it again. Stick it back by your car and between the Eco throttle and the bufferage of the vehicles you won't even hear it. You'll be fine, especially when the neighbors get the benefit of electricity access. The phone charging station I setup alone made my neighbors love the fact I brought it.

What do you do for your cell phone charging station? I may do the exact same.

I used one at a festival a couple years ago that you could barely hear. We had oscillating fans setup all around our campsite and one of my friends brought a window AC unit for his tent. It was amazing and I wish I still had access to it because I would bring it in a second.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

Hmmm... I have aces to one of those tiny gennies... maybe I should bring it just in case. that said, I will be bringing along a pair of deep cycle batteries from my boat. Tons of Amp hours in these babies. I have a big power inverter as well. I plan to run a small fan with it all night, some LED lights for the flagpole and then as a device charging station.
I brought the generator and placed it next to my front tire by the walk way. I ran two small fans and a huge power strip from 8-11 am. Everyone with in ear shot charged their cell phones. I thought we would use lights or fans at night but we ended up not getting back to the tent till around 5 am every morning. We had a blast and will bring the generator next year as well.
