Currently 3 hours into an 11 hour Megabus ride from Buffalo to DC then meeting up with friends/family in DC and off to the farm Wed AM...travelling by bus is AWFUL...the people on here are terrifying...
I'm a first timer coming with a few other first timers. We're almost in TN. Going to stay a few nights with my friend's brother and head to the farm early Thursday. This board has been so helpful in regards to preparing. Just now getting around to posting.
On the subject of bus travel, well... It sucks. I've gotten stuck with some scary people.

I've done Megabus before and it wasn't too bad. At least not when compared to city busses. That is, unless you end up on the bus with the broken WIFI!

*I will never again travel by bus, I did greyhound from Nashville, TN to Tampa Florida with a 5 hour layover in Atlanta, which has to be by far the WORST Greyhound station IN THE COUNTRY lol

Leaving with one of my buds less than 24 hours from now to Abingdon VA, which is roughly 5 hours from Manchester. Are whole group is meeting down there and staying at his Grandma's house tomorrow night. Leaving early Thursday morning for Roooooo!
Just picked up the RV and we're packing like mad! Got a quick trip to downtown Wilmington tonight for the Rusted Root concert, then a few hours sleep before hitting the road. Looks like about eleven hours for us from Wilmington, NC to Raleigh then on to The Farm!
My flight leaves in 2 hours!!! Finally packed and ready. Will be arriving in Tennessee about noon tomorrow. My boyfriend left this morning and he might get stuck in Chicago tonight because of delays. Fingers crossed we all make it as scheduled.

I'm posting this from the floor of an Iowa rest stop. It has a tornado shelter and free wi-fi. I'll be cruising into Tennessee late morning and then the fest on Thursday. I burned a ton of Roo CDs and its been a good solo drive so far. Shout out to my mommy for hooking me up with tons of food to eat along the way. Mom, the zucchini bread is especially good this year.

We're planning on leaving tomorrow night around 8pm for a seven and a half hour drive down. But it looks like we're going to be getting hit with some hellish storms about that time. Might take off a little earlier now.

I should be stockpiling sleep. Alas. I leave at 9 AM from near Durham, NC. Stopping in Asheville for lunch and then to a hotel about 25 minutes from Manchester for the night. Safe travels everyone!

Leaving at around 6:00 this afternoon. It's about a 5 hour drive from here so I hope to have camp set up late tonight in time to get some sleep because I'm running on about 3 hours of it today.

Anyone heading through Ohio, western PA, northern WV, from early evening until tomorrow morning, major storms, straight line winds, hail will be hitting. Also tornados, potentially. I think central and northern Ohio to directly east of Pittsburgh will be the worst hit, gauging that on the weather channel.
Please be aware of what you are driving into and have some way of getting alerts. These storms are dangerous and have caused major damage around here in the past.
We are leaving from Pittsburgh and it looks as though we are in for some shit.
