Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So seeing as it's labeled 16bit does that mean we can expect a 24bit? EDIT: Just read the notes! 24bit? Yes Please! Also it doesn't sound all that muddy on my setup, at least not any more than most other audience recordings. Again THANKS I've been waiting for this one!

We weren't sure if there was a demand, but since you demanded it we'll put it up next. We like them better in 24 bit too. We usually only post in 24 bit, but decided to make an exception for Bonnaroo this year and put up 16 bit versions for those that can't figure out how to convert to 16 bit. If anybody would like a 24 bit post of any of the shows we are putting up now, just add a comment to the 16 bit version and we'll get them out there as soon as we can. It's not that much extra work for us, but we'll try to get everything we have out there in 16 bit first, and we have a lot more shows to post.
willsfc, you are the man for doing this. Every year I stop by your thread to relive these shows, and I pass them on to my friends that attended their first Roo experience with me.
Thanks again, though, your work is much appreciated.
We owe you guys so much. We really should put together a fund to pay for your tickets next year! I will throw down on it. And the other taper posting shows here too!
i would definitely throw in some cash to pay for some taper tickets. i would also throw some money at folks to record as much of the webcast as possible!

Thats my plan for next year. I have some great (secretive) ideas for getting a tripod into the Roo and also plans to record many a webcast.

So I hadn't stopped by in a while.... and WOW! SO MANY MORE!! Thank you guys so much! All of you!! I would totally throw down cash for tapers' tickets next year!
Side note: I can't torrent when I'm at work because my laptop has to be registered to my UserID on the network, so they could track my downloads to me personally. Unfortunately, I have so much shiz open on my computer that I'm using that shutting it down/hibernating it to take home just isn't worth the risk of losing it. I say this to point out that I haven't been able to seed anything in about a week, and probably won't until after this coming Tuesday, but then I should be able to seed some of these again. Sorry for that, but I don't really have a choice in the matter.
Again though, thank you tapers! And if anyone finds a full Macca rip, even of the shittiest quality, like even if it was recorded using a bad microphone held to a phone call made from a circa-2000 cell phone that was held up in a plastic bag, please let me know!!
I mean a hundred and six people putting up ten dollars each would get one thousand and sixty dollars. my GA ticket this year presale was 265, AND I cound four tapers here posting willsfc, billfloyd, perks, and emorency right. that's $1060. I know I would drop twenty on it. that's 53 people who think all these taper recordings are worth $20. how do we go about doing this and getting them the money. I don't want to mail each one a check for five dollars or a five dollar bill and I am sure they don't want their address online out here. what we need is a paypal account with someone who all the parties trust to distribute the money. or they could get paypal accounts and we could donate to them directly. Any of you tapers have a paypal account I could donate to?
Honestly if these guys all had paypal accounts we could donate to I would do it. in a heartbeat.
is this possible? does someone that knows more about the internet know how to do it?
Kickstarter, perhaps? Just the first thing that came to mind.
So have we confirmed that Paul's set was taped by someone? I've got the first half already, but I would really love to listen to a more professionally taped Hey Jude instead of watching it on YouTube.

Also to add,I want to say I have seen in this thread that someone got a full recording of Paul, but it hasnt shown up yet. I am still looking for that one and Billy Idol to complete my Roo set.
"It's hard to say whether seeing Kellz backed by Jim James and his lion's mane hairdo or Billy Idol rocking out next to John Oates and his soul patch was weirder to watch. Let's just say both were beautifully bizarre sights to behold."
While I certainly appreciate that people dig the recordings the talk about kickstarter and paypal funding for taping needs to stop. It is unethical to accept payment for the privilege of being able to set up gear inside and capture sets. If a band wants to guest list a taper to record their show that is a different situation altogether. Many of the things that get recorded at Bonnaroo are opportunities that only happen at Bonnaroo. Don't rock the boat. Be grateful, buy a taper a drink, and if you really want to show your appreciation don't let people clap in the mics.

This is a shot in the dark, but would anybody be willing to put a random Dime torrent in a zip file, upload it to sendspace and PM it to me? I just want to let it seed so I can get out of ratio watch and slowly build a buffer. Lost my old torrents to a hard drive crash.
Ill work on my McCartney tomorrow and also billy idol
I would definitely like to do the kick starter thing it would be awesome to have my ticket funded next year and im happy to tape as many shows as I can and keep providing them for the fans here on the roo boards
I'm no less looking forward to it but you had stated previously that your McCartney was incomplete right emorency? Have we any confirmation that a complete source exists? Seems near impossible to imagine there isn't but like cory said it's getting later and later...

My wife and I are with Perks on this. The money part is making us a little uncomfortable. We do like the free beer idea, though. Even with two of us taping, the taping hobby is more expensive for others than us, we don't have the expensive stuff. So it would be nice for those that need it to get a free pass. Bonnaroo offers free tickets to hundreds (maybe thousands) of people doing volunteer work for the festival (directing traffic, picking up litter, working artist hospitality, etc). I don't know how realistic it would be, but maybe someone with "connections" could squeeze a couple of tickets out of them for "volunteer" tapers who are providing hours of service to the Bonnaroo community. We certainly wouldn't turn that down if offered in that way. I think we'd be the last in line, though. If not for what Will and his dad do taping and organizing this thread, we wouldn't be having this discussion. So it would be nice to ensure that they'll be at Bonnaroo every year, if they choose. Did I mention that we like the free beer idea? And please, no clapping when you bring us the beers. If you are looking for us, we're standing on stools in front of the soundboard. And thanks to all for your appreciative comments.
FYI for all of you with ratio issues. I too had a low, low ratio since last year. Prevented me from getting all of last year's shows. Right after Roo I donated $20 & become a VIP, and now I can get anything I want. Ratio has gone up from .02 to .04 since I've been seeding all these Roo torrents. Hope this helps you.
Referring to dimeadozen.

For those with a bad ratio, try to look for something new on dime. Even kfyou don't like it, pull it down and let it seed. I went from a .06 to a 1.0 Letting my system seed 2 or 3 Sets. Look for something with 1 Seed and a bunch of leeches.

So I downloaded utorrent and then downloaded the torrent. The files that download say they are document files. Is there another step I need to do or did I already fuck up?
Also, how would I move it to ITunes? I'm hoping whenever I figure out the file issue then it will work.

I've gotten a lot of pleasure through the years from the efforts of tapers--sitting here listening to Bustle as we speak--and I'm especially grateful for your insight into how we can care & feed for you guys. Are there any other suggestions you can make for how to support you?

I strongly second this question. Special thanks to Will and your Dad, y'all have facilitated me in relieving many of my favorite concert moments over the past several years!

I don't think the money thing is an issue really as long as it only funds the tickets that is a huge benefit to us tapers that don't have fat wallets. Hell with upgrading my gear every year i have to cut back on more and more shows. Also I am in agreement shows should never be bought sold or paid for basically this is the fans just helping the taping community out and in return we get to help them with more great shows.
I can see the room for abuse with this that's why it would need to be run by someone trustworthy and we would need to show updates all along tickets being bought tickets in hand etc.
I for one would be happy to spearhead this for getting it started and be willing to provided updates on a consistent basis if needed.
Not trying to discount perks opinion but not all of us tapers have a huge bank account and can afford all this.
