Not sure why they were free but who gave you the best hug?
Mine was at the Jazzy Jeff super jam. @phi hope it was as good for you as it was for me! (He wasn't giving out free hugs but we hugged and he was so damn cuddly I didn't want to let go!)

Kali, you saw mine. There was a guy with a sign walking along VIP. He came in and gave our whole group hugs! It was awesome and less sweaty than I imagined!

As I was leaving the VIP pit after about 25m of Holy Ghost, the guy who was hanging out by the entrance threw his leg and arm up in jest, telling me that I couldn't leave. I took a stance resembling a bull spotting its target, and starting shaking with intensity. He fortunately got the continuation of the gag and gave me the best hug I've received at Bonnaroo.

There was this girl with big fine bare breastheses giving free hugs by the fountain. Some dude walked up to her and said, "Can I get one of those?" So she gave him a long tight hug, wiggling just a bit, and then let him go. He had an idiot grin on his face.
Then her boyfriend or SO or whatever leans in and says, with the slightest edge to his voice, "Go ahead and motorboat her, dude...you know you want to."
Dude didn't. Meanwhile, I all but peed myself laughing.

i spent satruday running around in my super bright boxer briefs that happened to match the design and colors on the mushroom fountain EXACTLY! no one would give me hugs though :,( haha

Friday night as I walked through the crowd a man stepped out and gave me a fantastic hug. I never saw him coming and it freaked me out for juuuust a second but then I realized I was getting one hell of a free hug. All was good after that.
I was standing with four friends after David Byrne and St. Vincent, nearly everyone had made their way to that What field, on a musical high and we were discussing how amazing it when it hit us that we were about to follow that up with the legendary Mr. Petty. I was sooooo happy and at that just that moment two girls walked past me and they said they were giving free hugs, I stopped what I was saying and ran over to the girls, who turned out to be rather attractive, and said that I had to get one, I had only hugged a few people all roo because we had bumped into each other during shows and hugged to say sorry, but these girls gave me seriously the best hugs I've ever received. I got one from each of them and then all three of us had a group hug. The fact that it happened right byrne, one of my favorite shows all weekend and I was on my way to Petty and got such great hugs being caught up in the joy of the moment, it made me happier than I thought possible. I then walked to Petty and jammed out with my friends in the rain. Everything came together just right, and I will never forget those two strangers because of it.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

On Thursday I made a sign that said free hugs and started in pod one then moved over to the line by the arch and gave away at least 2000 hugs but the one i remember was from a girl in a bikini that literally jumped on me for around 30 seconds then she did it again right after! Also gave Matt from Matt & Kim a hug after their set was over.
On the way to the portos I saw a guy and girl walking hand in hand with their arms swaying back and forth. I tried to join in to just be silly. When I tried to hold the girls hand, she freaked and hid behind her boyfriend. The guy ( prob 20 ish ) then told me, " you don't do that to little girls dude" I felt so wierd they thought I was a pervy guy ! I told them both my only was trying to be funny / silly. The guy again said " no, what ya tryin to do dude" I then told them I was only being silly on the way to the portos. I then just walked away feeling sad I upset them. And even more so that they just did not understand.
After I went pee, on the walk back to camp, there was a girl who hugged me and said " Happy Bonnaroo" we then spun each other around, holding hands. I thanked her greatly for resetting my faith in the Bonnaroo spirit.
