How can someone listen to a song like Homecoming and say with a straight face that he makes bad music
I was so pumped when he played it in Detroit. The only set list I remember seeing it on before that was Chicago and he played it when I saw him too. He couldn't stop smiling the whole time especially when it got to the "Fireworks off lake Michigan" part.
Really thinking about buying this costume and wearing shutter shades with it for Friday.
I'm not too into "clothing" on the farm, because I sweat like a pig, but I think the shutter shades is a great idea. Nice little way to show support at the festival.

Lucky as fuck. The city exclusive we got was during Good Life. He said "It feel like Miami, it feel like Miami, it feel like Miami" instead of all three cities, that was pretty cool

...I think Homecoming is among his weakest singles ever and Windy was a much better version. :shrugs:
Also he played Good life everywhere and typically included the city he was in. He included Nashville, for shit's sake.
I was just going to say, as an ardent disciple of Yeezus, Homecoming is among the last of his tracks I'd refer to as proof of his brilliance. To each there own, I'm sure there are plenty of people who wish his whole set would be Golddigger and whatnot.

Y'all know I love any Kanye supporter and the last thing I want to do is shit on the parade, just letting ya know. Although for disclosure, Graduation is probably my least favorite.

Flashing Lights is top 3 for me though.
I've always considered graduation to be my least favorite to but for some reason it's creeping up on 808s for me. Love them all though.

The original just feels like wordplay the entire time: Windy, blow trees, the obvious Chicago reference. Homecoming feels like it's missing all the cleverness of that to me, even though I know it's still there.

That is a very mediocre song for you to choose. Wow. THAT is one of the songs that have you obsessed? I used to love her>>>>>>>... by miles and miles
I actually think if Grad didn't tail off with Homecoming and Big Brother I would place it pretty high in his catalougue... but then you have Barry Bonds and Drunk and Hot Girls so idk.
Oh trust me I know he had this intro on this song when I saw him in Detroit but he came out to on sight. This song was one of the highlights of the whole concert for me.
On sight is one of the sickest opening tracks of an album in a long time. I wouldn't mind that being how he opens the show

This is too funny, these are all comments from the same grown ass man on the Bonnaroo facebook:
" Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival how are you going to say radiate positivity when you are bringing the most hateful artist to the farm? Kanye radiates negativity and its obviously coming out in people already. Just take him off the line up so there are no problems. It very disrespectful to us that you guy are bringing him. It drives me nut how much I love bonnaroo because I'm most likely still going to go. But soon as people start throwing shit at him I'm joining in too because the majority of us DONT WANT HIM THERE!!!!!!"
" Kanye ruined roo 08 for his entire crowed PLUS he demanded Phil lesh and friends quit playing or he would play, ruining phils crowd too and now Phil won't come back and o Dont blame him. Then to top it off he didn't even perform a whole show. How disrespectful to the fans and to Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Why would you ever bring him back!?!?!? Sooooo disrespectful to us bonnaroo shame on you. "
"Its already turning into a booooaroooooo!!! Fix it Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival."
"Bonnaroo you guys messed up by bringing kanye I hope you put a net over the stage because we are throwing shit at him. He's not welcome. How dare you bring him back. I love the farm but I'm offended that you guys are bringing him back. I bet a million this year will be your worst ticket sales ever. Thanks for the blatant disrespect to us bonnaroo good job."
"Bonnaroo Music and Arts FestivalBonnar how many signature would it take to get Kanye removed from the line up."
"I understand I'm being negative about this but how can you bring the most negative person in the world to the farm. Kanye is everything bonnaroo is not about. He brings out the worst in people. Such bad vibes this year. I hope its not to much of a bummeroo."

While I think there may be some tiny nugget of truth in the idea that others (or at least Phil) had to end early based on Phil's comments when ending the show I still find it utterly hilarious how people talk out of their ass like they have actual physical proof.
I still fully expect to see Phil/members of the Dead make it back to Roo some year. Maybe next. It just makes me giggle to see people talk as if they were behind the scenes and have a first-hand account of the problems in 2008.

That's what I expect him to come out to. I like it but it's towards the bottom of my list of songs off yeezus. It is a cool opening track though.

Wasn't it just Phil that had his set cut shorter? Perhaps I'm wrong (I wasn't there), but weren't the tents still going?

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Kanye, but I think Graduation has some questionable tracks. The hook in Big Brother is almost painful.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
While we're on the subject of Graduation, what's the consensus on The Glory? Personally, it's one of my favorite songs and I never really see it brought up(good or bad). Just one of those mediocre songs that slips through the cracks?

His delivery in those first three lines is some of his best ever in my opinion
Can I talk my shit again? Even if I don't hit again? Dawg, are you fuckin kiddin!?
One of those parts of a song I always have to rap along out loud no matter what
EDIT: the censoring really takes away from those lines...
