Little nervous about Pusha's album tonight. I know its out there but I haven't listened yet. I really like Neck and Wrist. It's sick as fuck. Diet Coke is pretty strong. Beat is dope but the hook is kinda boring and long and it feels like 80% of the song is the chorus. I didn't previously realize that Hear Me Clearly is also on this album and not just for the Nigo project. That song is just pretty good as well. I guess I'm just nervous that these were the three songs he just couldn't wait to get out there and thought would build the most hype. I get Neck and Wrist but the other two wouldn't crack my top 5 songs on any of his three albums.
I hope that the half Pharrell half Kanye thing works out. I should be more excited for that than I am. If he wanted to get my attention in a truly legendary way and build real hype, he should have had a full album produced entirely by each of them, dropped them on back to back weekends. THAT would have been super exciting to see who could produce the better Push album. Just hope the thing is cohesive because in interviews it sounds like the two of them were focused on very different things.
I've never been a fan of Pharrell's production for the most part, but overall I think this new Push album is pretty solid. Got to listen some more to get a better feel for it but a couple times through, there's definitely some good tracks on there. One critique off top, I thought there were a few songs that were a little too short.

I think I'm supposed to think "It's Almost Dry" is better than "Tana Tank 4" but.... I know what I've listened to more times this week....
This is pretty click bait. I'll wait for the episode to come out. But it sounds like he's just saying "yeah I hear what you're saying" or "yeah there is that narrative"

Black Thought x Danger Mouse album announced. The first single is great. Danger Mouse is one of my favorite producers all time for his work with MF DOOM, Norah Jones, Electric Guest, Gorillaz etc. so I'm super excited for it. Black Thought is one of the most skilled rappers ever.
At least the portion shown here. He’s saying ‘yeah’ as in ‘I’m following what you are saying right now and I have heard ppl say that.’ He went on to say “you can’t feed into petty shit like that… at THIS point, that shit trash at this point”
Then he asks “but did you feel like that early on”
“I mean I saw similarities but that’s what we’re in it for” - prob the most controversial line of the segment
