I've been doing the math and I'm really starting to think I'm gonna do this. $70 for a 3 day pass ($55 for Early Bird). Would be worth it to me as I couldn't do Forecastle. It's not a typical Inforoo festival but a solid lineup and some names that people may know.
Any advice on places to stay on the cheap in the area?

The hotels near the airport are usually pretty cheap. This festival won't be big enough to cause them to jack up their rates. Also, try staying over the river in Indiana. There are some nice hotels there that are new and fairly cheap.
Also, even if I don't go to this festival, let's go drink bourbon one night!

$35-50? I'll go for Lambchop. Blues Control and Wolf Eyes are cool. Anyone else I missed, GLand? Hoping American Turners means camping on grounds. It's a bizzaro 70s campground that Forecastle used to use, complete with old pool and bar overlooking the Ohio River.
“Bands were cool, organizers were cool, venue security was cool, attendees were cool, and the Falls City Beer was rowdy. Grating noise was often coupled with gentle acoustic offerings as a testament to the lineup’s eclecticism. There was tons of blood, and even a couple of dildos. Cropped Out was punk as fuck.

I live in Louisville but fear I am not punk enough to attend. I might go anyways but pretend to be mute so I don't have to answer any questions about music and out myself as being incredibly lame.

Added Tony Clifton as MC and Bonny Prince Billy & Matt Sweeney performing Superwolf for the first time. I've met all punk rock requirements to be in attendance.

It pays to ask. Camping Added...
Thats right people. Cropped Out 2013 will host camping for the first time ever! Got a sleeping bag? Got a tent? Maybe just a pillow case and some fire crackers? Well all walks of life are welcome to nestle up for a night or two along the banks of the Ohio. Turners has opened up its beautiful river front grassy knoll as a sleeping space for all the freaks we call friends!
