This is my first year at Roo and so I don't really know what to expect. I've been given some info through my fellow Warehouse members about what goes on at Roo, but I wanted to get some feed back from you guys.
My boyfriend and I are going this year and are planning on bring booze but are both . To me, after reading everthing I have, it doesn't sound like this is a problem, is that correct?
The reason I am slightly nervous about it is because the only festivals I've been to are much much smaller than Roo and usually have the booze guys making the rounds.
I can assure you, I have been the past two years and I literally have seen only ONE actual police officer on the actual campground area.... Security guards everywhere, but they are not law enforcement, they only want to keep order.... You will be completely fine with booze.. Hope this helps-
You'll be fine with alcohol, but when it's 90+ degrees out you should only really be drinking water, especially if you are doing drugs. I saw way too many people pass out from heat exuastion last year all due to not drinking enough water.
I definitely agree with MFRONE on this one. Last year My lady had a problem with dehydration by the end of Saturday, and it took her about a week to recover all the way. It made for a long last day and night for her.
But I would say if you drink a beers worth of water after every two beers or so you will probably be keeping a good balance? Just a thought.
Also, there were plenty of people selling dank beers and food along the walks to centeroo that could hook you up if you can't get the beer in or keep it cold. So no worries!!! ;D

I also think beer is a waste of your time unless maybe for a night show. The sun is beating down on you all day, youre gonna have to pee during shows (especially if youre drinking enough water along with the beer) and waking up the next day is gonna be tough. Just light up a spliff!
All the advice about hydration is VERY important, you really must be drinking water constantly whether you are drinking alchohol or not. That said, after six concert going days at Bonnaroo I feel like I have a pretty reliable routine at this point:
-wake up -drink 4-5 beers -bring smoke to the concert venue -possibly return to campsite for 4-5 beers post sunset -bring smoke to concert venue -sleep, then repeat
-constantly drink lots of water
This does result in more bathroom trips than I'd like but I find it quite enjoyable generally speaking. They do card people at the official beer tents pretty rigidly but that is far from only way to obtain beer.

I really appreciate all the information and advice provided. I will for sure bring along plenty of water. We're making a Costco trip before we leave so we'll buy a couple cases.
Generally, I am not too much of a beer drinker - thats more my boyfriends style. I am all about the real alcohol - rum, vodka, whiskey and such. But we're both not looking to drink the whole time and get wasted - we just want to relax and have a good time.
