Welcome, friends, to the inaugural edition of Garbage Day! Your one and only weekly opportunity to "take out the trash," so to speak, and improve the Inforoo Posting Environment by letting someone know that their recent posting has been unacceptable. So, what is Garbage Day? Well, I'm glad you asked! I have helpfully put together a short FAQ as a primer. Please read it before posting, as it contains instructions on proper vote syntax.
So, what is Garbage Day?
Garbage day is a weekly forums vote in which one user will be selected to take a week off, enforced by suspension.
Suspension? Sounds kinda harsh! Do the mods approve of this?
Another excellent question! Here's what the mods have to say about garbage day:
Garbage day allows the Inforoo community to police itself in a new, different way. If a person is being a detriment to the community, possibly without realizing it, this is a way to let them know that something needs to change. Whether they are skirting the rules, blatantly trolling, or simply getting a little too fierce in the waffle-pancake debate, garbage day will give them the chance to take a step back and reflect on the mistakes that have led to the community at large voicing their displeasure. Because it is a community decision, they have noone to blame but themselves.
OK, so how does it work?
The garbage day thread will open sometime on Friday morning, and voting will be open for exactly 12 hours. During this period, open discussion is welcomed within the thread. State your case, try to convince others who they should vote for, sell your vote for favors, anything goes. At the end of the 12-hour period, the votes will be tallied and the lucky winner will be announced, at which time the mods will enact the suspension, which will last until voting ends on the next week.
When you're ready to cast your official vote, tell our elected vote counter, Waldorf, using this format:

A few other miscellaneous rules:
-You may cast your vote only once, and you may not change your vote -Our fine moderating staff may not be voted for. As a measure of fairness, they are also not allowed to vote. -The Sanitation Engineer (that would currently be me) is also not allowed to vote. -No user may be voted out on Garbage Day for more than 3 weeks in a row -Votes can only be cast for active posters (Active being defined as having posted at least 5 times in the past month, and also not being permanently banned) -In the event of a tie, the tied party with the most posts over the previous 7 days will be selected -This thread is not the place to express any issues you may have with the Garbage Day concept. Votes and voting discussion only, please.
Voting is now open, and it will be closed at 9:00 PM EST.

This is tough. Do I vote for emoney because everyone else is? Do I follow Dave Maynar's lead and vote for one of the sweet tea haters? Maybe @jeffp1717 because he put me on his list? Why has no one voted me yet? So many questions.
Sorry Fuzz. For the record, I don't think you're necessarily the worst (and wouldn't show up at the top of the actual list of The Worst), but you've been dropping some serious deuces all over the place lately, to the point where I openly wondered if you had suffered a stroke or ingested mercury or stuck a fork in an electrical socket just to see what would happen. Maybe take some time off, rest and regroup?
It's gonna take some serious Juggs magic for this to happen...
