For those of you who do not know, Rae plays a very important role in where I am at today and that made this meeting extra special. A while back this community loss one of its beloved members, I personally never met Matt, but the tragic loss of him created a void and that sucked me into this community. As many of you know, Rae played a key role in naming a pair of Sanuks after Matt. Carpe Diem! Yes Inforoo did, indeed! click ---->HERE! If it was not for that time, those emails, those emotions experienced, I would not have stayed on Inforoo and in turn I would not be where I am today.
Many side stories have come about from this. I learned the other night, Rae had only worked for the company for like a month when this magic happened.
If interested, this is how it went down. Last year I missed Rae at a festival in Black Rock City, Nevada called, Burning Man. This year she was to come by our camp for a wedding. We did not see her. On Thursday I got a note in group shade. It was a bracelet with an invite to a Brunch at the Superhero and Villains camp, on Friday with a note from Rae. We slept all day Friday and night. It was needed. Thursday was FUN, but it took me down for Friday. This happened and then that happened and now here it is 3am on Burn night, Saturday night, people are already packing up. We are about to go out for a round about on the Playa and check out Sunrise at the temple. Not sure where it came from, but something was saying to look for the Super Heros Villains camp. It was not far from our camp, but how to get there. I was wearing a bracelet with the address, 8:45 & GDP. Sugarhigh and I were on our bikes and headed off. We got to the general area and happened to see people sitting out by their camp. We asked where the SVC was located and a guy stood up and escorted us through their camp. Towards a light... It was not a fire, but a glowing, color changing orb. There were 3 people and many chairs around it, like a camp fire. With the magic of the Playa burning, Rae was on of those 3 people. All I can say, she is just as awesome in person as she is behind the computer.
It took a few years and it could only happen 100 miles north of Reno, in the high desert of Black Rock City, at 3 am.

Funny that you ask, I spent most of the week back-in-forth between, Kingstons and CarpeDiems, but this was Burn Night and I had on my Black High Top Docs, with the, extra fat/wide, neon orange laces. Side note: Not by me, but one of Matt baked goods was placed in the temple this year.
Funny. Rae and I are Facebook friends--I think that happened during the Inforoo blitz, and Scrog, she's got a bunch of pictures of you up on her timeline.
