I've never been to Ultra, but the stage setups I saw on the live stream last year were jaw dropping. The main stage looked cool and everything, but it was the massive ceiling'd side stages that were really impressive. Whatever stage Carl Cox was on looked awesome.
If there were a bunch of acts I wanted to see, I could actually make a festival during tax season, and I could find a reasonably priced hotel in Miami (which doesn't seem possible), I would consider a $500 ticket worth it.
The Phase 1 lineup doesn't blow my mind really. Plenty of standard acts you knew were going to be at Ultra anyway, with a few exciting acts, and some which I probably should be excited about but I guess I'm not familiar enough with them to be excited.
Ultra's production surpasses all of the festival's I've been to so far, so I put in my 500 for this year again.
Anyways, I hope we get Chase and Status at roo. Love me some C&S
Sooo, I guess you didn't make it to TomorrowWorld? Cause Ultra ain't got nothing on them...
TomorrowWorld makes Ultra look like a country fair. If you like the fist pumping line up of Ultra and spending massive amounts of money, go to TomorrowWorld.

Did I post this already? Maybe, maybe not. Either way I dig it.
We saw these guys a few weeks ago, they're pretty awesome.
I saw them play at a small little bar in Knoxville about 10 years ago. Really enjoyed the set. There was hardly anyone there. Zion, being of Grateful Dead lineage, was why I went to see them play. Sat and had a beer with him before the show. Weird dude, pretty good musician.
Love Boombox (I actually suggested them in the first post of this thread). They were the last act I saw at Camp Bisco last summer. The crowd was pretty thin at that point but the people there were getting down.
I'll let you know if I ever watch it. I Googled "Fatboy Slim Olympics" and this also came up. Posted this as it was more recent. Fairly certain 2012 Olympics was a "press play" situation.

Fairly certain something televised live to over a billion people is very tightly controlled and doesn't allow for lines like "Fatboy Slim is f*cking in Heaven".
Award shows, halftime shows, TV appearances, etc. are an absolutely terrible way to judge a performer's live show.
Wow... remind me to stay the f out of Juggs way if I ever want to enjoy an EDM show that isn't always intellectually stimulating. Why do I go into these threads anymore.
