He could pull a Kanye and have no guests (aside from a splash of bon iver and pusha t), so I'm not getting too excited for it. But still totally hoping it happens.
Granted, it was at his own OVO fest, but in 2013 he had Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, Miguel, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, TLC, Diddy, and J Cole, and in 2014 he had Trey Songz, Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Usher, and G-Unit. I feel like he'd definitely pull a bunch of people out for Coach.
Yup. Drake seems like he is the odds on favorite to go guest crazy this year.
Lineup doesn't wow me but still seems decent enough. Steely Dan is the most exciting shocker for me but still isn't blow-my-mind awesome to see on there. If I was within a few hours of Indio I'd want to go but otherwise I don't mind to pass it up. Here's the names that grab me right off ranked by interest level.
Friday Caribou, AC/DC, Steely Dan, Tame Impala, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, Interpol, Flying Lotus, Cloud Nothings
Saturday FKA twigs, The War on Drugs, Run The Jewels, Jack White, Belle & Sebastian, Perfume Genius, Tyler the Creator
Sunday St. Vincent, Philip Selway, Ryan Adams, Drake, Panda Bear, Jamie xx
I also like how the names are spread out indicating I'd probably have pretty good options all weekend long.
I am - and this may come as a total surprise for you - but it's not because of the potential for Drake to perform in a wheelchair. I'm starting to dive into the lineup and I'm finding a few things I like (Ratatat and Todd Terje in particular so far). But if GovBall's IG photo means anything and they've booked Bjork...well then my decision has pretty much been made for me.

Watch this freaking Todd Terje set. He doesn't play a lot of shows, very few with a full band. Right now I doubt they play outside of Coachella
Weird lineup but I think I have come around. It's easily the best non-Sahara EDM lineup since I started going in 2010.
I agree with all of this, yet I was still hoping for way, way more. Especially on the electronic end. Todd Terje, Jamie xx, Caribou, FlyLo, Tale of Us, Gaslamp Killer Exerperience, Ratatat, John Talabot, Guy Gerber, Squarepusher, Ryan Hemsworth and Jon Hopkins are all really great, but I was hoping for better. Coachella does electronic far better than any of the other "big" U.S. fests though, that's undeniable. Even getting three of these artists at Bonnaroo would be a banner year.
I can't get past Sunday though. There are maybe 7 acts I care to see. Saturday is almost as bad. It's certainly not a bad lineup, and I can dig what they did here, but it really doesn't appeal to me in the least.

First time going. When I go to the main page, it says GA passes are sold out and the only thing available is GA + Shuttle (do not need). Is this for real?? This seems ludicrous that tons of people buying passes would be forced to pay for something they don't need.

Totally real. They sold the vast majority of tickets presale.

They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
Honestly Steely Dan into AC-DC is kind of a dream lineup for me.
itrainmonkeys -are you the one who keeps track of rare poster agreements on shit? Or do I need to make sure someone else records this?
I haven't kept track too much, though I do point it out when it happens. It happens too rarely, though. Usually only uniting against trolls with bad taste. Maybe we should start some kind of record for it haha. I'll put it in the Inforoo book i'm writing.
