There's lots of good stuff at the bottom. But I don't know which ones you haven't heard/seen live.
Just list em! Even if I've heard them already maybe someone else hasn't.
I just need a short list of stuff to give a listen. I used to listen to the comprehensive Coachella playlist on spotify but it seems like there's not much on there but things I've already heard or really really terrible music.
The Orwells, MO, Angel Olsen, Benjamin Booker, Phox, Brant Bjork, Allah Las, Eagulls
Can a veteran list out the items they bring to the festival each day? Just want to make sure I'm prepared.
I bring a small moon bag packed with the following items:
Rain jacket (doubles as a wind breaker) Sun tan lotion Sun glasses Snacks - - small fruit & a few kind or protein bars Cash/Credit card Watter bottle Bandanna - - must have for sweat, dust, and sand
Highly recommend goggles in case you get stuck in a stand storm.

Don't know about a rain coat (it doesn't rain) but definitely bring some sort of shirt or light sweatshirt to throw on when it gets cold at night (it does). Bandana in case of sand (although they sell them dirt cheap at the general store), waterbottle/camelbak, earplugs, floppy flask full of booze so you don't have to mess with the beer gardens, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Edit: they're not supposed to let you bring in snacks or a full camelbak, but I've never had a problem with either.
Edit 2: Also since it doesn't rain (and the grass is nice wknd 1) you can wear whatever for shoes. You don't have to worry about wearing boots or shoes you can throwaway after.

I'm assuming there are places to refill your bottle/camelbak?

Last year me and mayo brought in a "locker bag" on day 1 that had sweatshirts/extra comfy shoes/extra sunscreen etc to throw in the locker.
We have a locker again this year, so it'll be a little lighter walking around at the fest with all that stuff stashed away.
Otherwise I bring in: Sunglasses Wallet Sunscreen Camelbak (or bottle) Fan (not the spray bottle kind, they're weird about those for some reason) Portapotty essentials kit (usually don't need it here, but good to have just in case)
Something to cover your face when the wind kicks up is a good idea, too.

There's also the option of stashing your shoes/sandals in your backpack and walking around barefoot, which I usually choose to do. That grass is soft and lovely.
Pro tip: the restrooms to the left of the Outdoor Theater stage, and between the Sahara and Mojave have trailer restrooms in the back. What's a trailer restroom, you ask? It's a portable restroom with A/C, TP, running water, soap, and hand towels. It feels super luxurious taking a piss while cold air blasts your face.

They'll have permanent bathrooms up near the food court this year. With walls and sinks and flushing toilets and everything!
They only had them for the ladies last year, but they were freaking fantastic. We were all pinching ourselves because it seemed too good to be true.

Damn...I wish Bonnaroo would get permanent bathrooms.
It was great. Running water and soap go a long way to making you feel less disgusting, too.
I wonder if they will do this eventually. The upfront cost would probably be really expensive, but it would save them the hassle of not having to deal with as many portojons.

Yes I know. They didn't demolish the bathrooms after the festival last year. And it says next year (aka this upcoming festival) will have men's bathrooms, as well.
So I have returned home from a terrible week and still haven't been able to sell my Coachella ticket. Maybe I should just say fuck it and join y'all on the polo fields anyway?

Sorry to hear you've had a terrible week. If you can swing it, you should join us!
Is there usually a pre-sale after the first or second weekends for next year? I'm assuming if there is, it's for folks that attended this year?
It's usually about a month after the festival, but it's open to everyone (doesn't depend on your attendance for the previous year).
Last year it was May 16th.
Also, if you do the pre-sale you should take advantage of the payment plan. The total amount paid is exactly the same as it would be if you paid up front, so unless you have something against making payments, the slow bleed is the way to go. And your ticket is paid off in December, which is great for saving for the other weekend expenses!

I would probably do the presale. With 'Roo the next month and all kinds of other stuff going on I wouldn't have all that cash to throw away!
I was just reading an article that said the passes sell out a few hours after being on-sale. I figured there would be a mad dash like there is during the general sale. Is this not the case?
