Some decisions were made over the weekend. We are assigning chacarcters for Friday's Oz takes over Wanee. We are in need of Flying Monkeys and munchkins. Paging mayo!! We might be looking for hats for this. On Thursday, we are emerald green as we embrace our Emetald City heritage. It is also tutu Thursday. Dress in you brightest green and best green tutu.
Last year Wanee announced the lineup on Wed Jan 16th soon after Coachella announced their line up. Since Coachella just announced yesterday, hopefully that would put the announcement next week.

Wanee will definitely live on. It's by far the most popular SOSMP fest and it could get more popular with different headliners. It definitely won't be the same though. We'll probably see a decrease in the amount of people camped out at the front of the main stage with lawn chairs all day starting in 2015.

And that would be a good thing.... It's been one of my only gripes at Wanee- I think at all festivals, there should be a no chair line for about the first 75 feet or so and for some reason it seems to be particularly bad at Wanee or any of the other festivals at the Suwannee venue.

Only outdone by those who bungee or tie their chairs together to and lock themselves in a huge square and/or even worse adding huge umbrellas to the mix so not only can people not get through, no one can see over them.

Haha, I like to travel light. I leave the chairs at home. I don't mind the folks at Wanee with them but I would definitely be in favor of a chair free zone in front of the stage. That goes for VIP too. Only gone VIP to Wanee (not this year, just GA)and some of the biggest douchebags are VIP. But I guess that's really everywhere (The Hangout fo sho has dozens of VIP douches)
If the Brothers are done, they could still do Gregg and Friends, and I'm guessing they could have Derek & Warren keep playing just Wanee weekend for as long Gregg is up for it? That would make sense to me.
So, why isn't there much speculation on who's playing Wanee like there is on the Hangout thread? I think Ratdog is gonna be there fo sho and I want some form of Les Claypool (even if it's a hologram).
From what I experienced this past weekend, I believe brandon niederauer will be at Wanee or at least I hope so. He is only 10 years old, but do not let that fool you, this kid can JAM! I may have seen him do it over Warren during soul shine the other day, on the pool deck.
It would be cool to see him. I always regretted that I didn't see Derek Trucks before he was 17.
....saw him in tower records around '96-'97...i was just learning to play guitar and i think it was more discouraging than encouraging....dude was/is amazing.

I feel what you saying. It's like some kid comes along and you realize he's already playing better than you will ever will. I did see Derek on the Jerry Lewis Telethon when he was 11 or 12. He played and sang Family Tradition, the Hank Jr song.

Someone told me, Warren would like to have be something like a new Derek Trucks. I personally do not remember DT growing up, I do now, but I am going enjoy watching this Brandon kid grow.
Kim, I am excited to hear you say the word costumes!
Honestly I had so much fun at Wanee last year, unless they just shit the bed (which is doubtful) I dont really give a damn about the lineup. I will have fun and see good music and make new friends no matter who is there.
Hell there are I think three couples now made up of people who met for the first time at SCC last year.
That is what I say Jess, unless they have a NKOTB reunion, I am there. Even then I still might come up for a day or two. Wait, there are 3 couples that spawned from SCC last year? Funk yeah! That makes me feel a little warm on the inside. SCC is more magical than I ever could have imagined.

I went last minute to Wanee with a Qsaroo miracle, since then I have brought my kids to Mag Fest where we camped with Waneetopia, and then for Hulaween, and I will be there for Aura. SCC never disappoints.
