I'm atheist raised catholic, so I don't do much church, but the Jesus tent (by pod 9) holds a mass on Sunday and they're really nice, last year they had this waterfall painting that turned into Jesus or something like that. It was cool and they have cahrgers/free food-coffee

I went there for free coffee every morning with my friends in 2011. They didn't hassle us or anything. Just had a bunch of Jesus-books lyin around.

I was about a minute walk from that place. They were all really nice and didn't pester people. Just were very nice and let us use their electricity
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

I was camped near that church too. We were neighbors

I've been at Pod 9 the past two years. I always get there at the same time so it kinda makes sense, I hope to be placed there again, it's such a convenient location
Oh it is real all right. I went to college at a small school on the Kentucky/Tennessee border. One of my best friends was a religion major so he had to go around to several different types of churches for a paper he was writing. I went with with him to several, including the snake handler church. They had a "guest" section for visitors safety. It was quite the experience.
Oh man I'm so jealous. As a born and raised Tn native I'm well aware of these churches. Yet being from Nashville it isn't anything you see around here. I've always wanted a chance to go witness this in action. When I used to run routes at work way out in the country, I always passed by a million little churches and everytime I wonder which of these "might" be snake handling churches. Though from what I undertsand mostly it is found in east TN and the mountains. It has long been a goal of mine to find one and see if they would even allow me to photograph the whole scene.
I watched Jesus for about 25 minutes dancing in the silent disco last year. He was amazing and really flowed with what I imagine the music sounded like. he also skipped and frolicked around. he really likes bonnaroo.
