So from what I read it looks like if the festival still happens the lineup will probably be in March. Man they are going to lose a lot of money/credibility. People are going to decide to go to another festival unless they are loyal fans/already bought tickets. This sucks...

i plan on going to both Bonnaroo and Electric Forest this year, both are perfect timing as far as being able to hit the roo first then head to Michigan for the forest...both line-ups are guaranteed to be the sh*t

Electric Forest's facebook just said that the lineup is coming "soon", and that they're currently "working to resolve a legal situation and are confident we will win the debate"

I went to the first and second EF. I loved the very first one, year two changed a lot and with this lineup coming up....the crowd is going to be very Ultra, EDC like. I'm interested to see the reaction when everyone sees it. Also, I like SCI just not 6 shows in 3 days.
Year one had a great and diverse lineup. Year two was during the Dubstep boom and even being a fan of it, I grew tired of it by Sunday. It's also about the experience, the Forest is probably the biggest draw for many.

2011 was SCI with Bassnectar, Tiesto, Pretty Lights, Shpongle, Kaskade, Skrillex, Excision, EOTO, Porter Robinson, Zedd, 12th Planet...explain this "diverse" festival to me. It was shitty EDM and a bunch of random jambands.
From my experience, 2011 and 2012 were not comparable. The Jam/EDM for my taste was much better in 2011 and the festival was much less polished, in a good way. In 2012 it was lots of DJs, playing the same 5 tracks all weekend. Besides Nectar and the two Tribe sets, 2012 was uneventful.

I agree. That Tiesto show was amazing in 2011. Not so much anywhere else I have seen him.

This festival was at its best when it was Highbury it was diverse and a ton of fun I went both years and once it changed to EF it ruined it for me there is way too much EDM for my tastes that being said it is the best place ever for a festival hands down. I just wish it was still Rothbury the first year was truly mind blowing to see that place with the number of people there it was perfect. The second year got packed but it was still a good diverse crowd of people and the lineup was awesome. It's too bad that things can't work out for that place. I would definitely go back but the lineup would have to diversify from previous EF's for me.
