Can we just confirm that #1 is Washed Out? It makes the most sense, and he's apparently touring all the musical festivals this year. Who is the one here that makes the final guess?

I can understand that, but why is it Washed Out? I never understood the answer of why the state of Oregon with the star directed on Portland in a TV box with a crooked antenna = Washed Out. If you can explain that to me in a clear concise argument of why that is the answer, then I will change it to Washed Out. And no, him simply just touring and playing festivals is not a clear concise answer.

Star on Portland in TV set = Portlandia TV show on IFC based in the city The theme song for the show is a Washed Out song Could also be Sleater-Kinney, the main actress' band she is in but Washed Out seems more likely
Yes, that's the connection. The photo is obviously Portlandia; Washed Out does the theme song. We can at least cross out a Portlandia live comedy act since the radio clue said the photo clue was not a reference to the band's name. I feel like Sleater-Kinney is being thrown around at this point just to give us something to discuss since the clues have been so simple. Hope I didn't jinx it.

i think it is so obviously washed out i don't really understand why people keep second guessing it.

I think a lot of people just really, really, really wanted it to be Sleater Kinney (guilty!). But, yeah, it's Washed Out.

I don't think BP is such a lock as some think.
From a June 2013 article, quoting the guitarist Russell Lissack:
“Definitely after we finish the festivals in the summer we’ll be taking some time off. At least six months, maybe a year maybe two years, it’s hard to say,” Lissack told Postmedia News at Saturday’s Field Trip music festival in Toronto. “Once we start taking time off people start doing their own thing. So once people start doing things then you’ll start naturally extending how long we spend apart.” (link: arts.nationalpost.com/2013/06/11/bloc-party-plans-indefinite-break-after-summer-festival-circut/)
They're on an indefinite hiatus with zero festival gigs listed on their site (or any gigs at all, for that matter), so I just don't think it's a lock.

Really don't think it's BP guys
agree, i dont think its bloc party. everyone is so fixated on the tiles and i dont think they factor in at all.
the tiles def. have something to do with it, otherwise they wouldn't be there... however, i think they're there just to show a "hard" surface/texture. party hat = "party, hard tiled background = "hard", "party hard" is a wk song.
Still don't think #2 is Break Science. They are the 4th to last name on the Wanee lineup. I feel like that translates to cafe act at Roo. My guess is Broken Bells.

I would normally agree but they have been favoriting tweets that mention them as the guess for that clue. Kinda confirms it.
I probably won't keep up with this, but suggest poster below me keep up with it.
This isn't the kind of thread you start unless you're going to keep it updated. Otherwise, it's pretty worthless. Can we get this thread locked up so someone who can actually commit to doing it right can start a new one?

I might be wrong but it looks pretty up 2 date to me.
I think #5 is Nightwish, a Finnish band with a song called Siren (Note that in the pic the only thing that isnt in blue and white is the siren). And i think #6 is Mae it's a bit more of a guess but i don't think it has to rhyme with hay bale is might just be Hay/Mae...

We have a lot of a's and b's and multiple guesses up there. The more I go over it the more I think each clue is actually SUPPOSED to represent more than 1 act.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then its gotta be worth more than 1 act on the lineup no?
