Someone mentioned Tweedy a while back and I'd be so happy if that is the direction they go. He just produced the new White Denim album and they'll be on the farm so there's one connection to work with.
Just the thought of Tweedy playing with John Paul Jones has me very very excited.
Will John Paul be on the farm? Serious question, guess idk if he has a side project that will be there or what not

He has a solo show in Louisville on the 11th, and then nothing 'til July.
I fear this superjam has been unsolved for so long, that when we finally find out who will lead it, we will not be satisfied.
The superjams were a mystery right up until the artists took the stage for the first few years. the first one I remember them actually saying who would be there was in '07.

I am pretty confident that you're correct. The first one i remember being announced was the Ben Harper - John Paul Jones - ?uestlove superjam.

First few they didn't announce.
2006 I went and got the rail for Superjam based on the rumor that it was Trey/Mike from Phish and the Benevento/Russo duo. The rumors were correct and they brought out Phil Lesh for a few jams. Great superjam but definitely lower on the aweosome scale when compared to the past two years and the '07 Zeppelin jam. I missed out on the Waits covers set in 2008 but wasn't disappointed (I got close for MMJ) and I really enjoyed the Dr. John superjam even though it wasn't anything epic or mindblowing.
Last two years were amazing though. Truly awesome.
I had a vision last night that the Superjam was a recreation of The Last Waltz with Jeff Tweedy leading it. Just saying.
I was likely subconsciously influenced by reading Foxandhound's post from earlier about the Americana revue. But, still, The Last Waltz superjam is one of the few things that could pull me away from Disclosure completely.
I'm always interested in the line-up placement of the Superjam. Like in 2012, the Questlove and Friends Superjam was placed at something like 16th on the line-up. In hindsight, a D'angelo one-off is about perfectly placed in my eyes. If anything, last year's Jim James Superjam was a little undervalued, but they weren't sure R. Kelly and Billy Idol would work out.
This Superjam "?" is right behind a Skrillex Superjam, and Skrillex is a pretty big artist. But he isn't Prince big.
I'm not saying I'm right, in fact I'm probably wrong. But I do think a Jeff Tweedy Superjam would appropriately fit with the mystery Superjam's placement on the line-up.
We've got Big Sam's Funky Nation and Janelle Monae both playing on Friday - I think it'd be cool to have a funk superjam. Throw Umphrey's in there and baby, you've got a stew going.

IF this dream isn't true. You need to find a way to corner AC and pitch this. He invited us all over to his place right? The band recorded The Last Waltz in '76 so in two years there could be some valid "anniversary" reasoning to knock this out of the park. Next year of course is going to be the Daft Punk Superjam...obvi.

For those hoping for some kind of Damon Albarn superjam, he's got a show in Atlanta the day that the superjam is on the leaked schedule. Here's his mini US tour. Bummer.

How would everyone feel if it turns out that nothing is announced ahead of time? More eexcited, less excited? Part f of me thinkgs if they don't announce it would have to be a truly killer lineup. If it turned out to be dissapointing, i think a mass exodous to Disclosure would just be too much chaos. Also if its not announced think i would have in the back of my mind that it would turn out to be a hip hop super jam with Chance right after. I also by no means would expect but wouldn't rule out Kanye showing up. Capps mentioned trying to get a secret show last year, why not this year? I'm mostly just trying to kick some shit up here, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility.
Honestly, I still think its Tweedy led and will be announced ahead of time. I'll be there either way.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

If the schedule remains the same I am just hoping the Mystery Superjam will be good enough to lighten the crowd for Disclosure yet not make me feel bad for missing the Superjam in favor of Disclosure.

You guys are slacking. The Roots were announced for a festival in Europe somewhere the same weekend as Roo but soon canceled (or maybe canceled before the lineup was actually announced it's hard to tell with google translate). I maintain that ? = ?uestlove.
