yeah it is! i've never hit a show there so i'm not sure what to expect in terms of quality. is it usually pretty decent for an arena?
If you have pretty good seats or pit it’s great. Cheap seats in the roof are rough. Sound is good though. Eat somewhere else. Food is LN expensive and poor quality. If you need to park, use the lot underneath the convention center across the street. Walk down Broadway a bit. It’s a riot.

yeah I was able to snag a pit ticket a few weeks back, so im hoping to grab the rail but we'll see since I can't get there until around 6
Ticketmaster was selling parking for the premium pinnacle garage just a block over for $20, and it was cheaper than any of the other prepaid parking i saw online so hopefully that will be all good. i'll probably walk around a bit when I get there but really just need to make a full trip to Nash one day!
I’m going to Nashville April 15th to the 18th. I checked the Bands in Town app but didn’t really find anything good. Anybody here know of some good local acts playing that weekend? Thanks!

How was it? And the pinnacle is where we park for the Symphony.

Kid Rock is playing the Ryman on the 18th.
Sorry, that's a shit weekend for music in Nashville
Garth Brooks, Mat Kearney, Waxahatchee, Jerry Cantrell....................
Bully is playing Mercy Lounge two weekends before damn it. She burns it down. I would have gone with you to that one. My usual music partner is out of town that weekend.

as incredible as expected and probably as good as the first time i saw them back in September! didn’t change up the set list too much like they did in Asheville unfortunately but can’t complain too much. the stage felt quite close to the crowd which was awesome, Bridgestone was a great venue for the show
also parking at Pinnacle was clutch. once i was able to back out of my spot i was on the highway within 5 minutes maximum

Hahaha!!!! Yeah, I was checking and saw a bunch of awesome stuff before and after I’ll be there. I was like REALLY??? This is the only weekend nothing good (that I know of) music-wise is happening in Nashville? Just my luck, whatever. Thanks tho!!!

Those are pretty good options. I’d see Garth,,Waxahatchee is great and probably has a good opener and if you’re an AIC fan Jerry would be good.

Yeah, for sure. I know they’re all good. Just not my cup of tea.
Side note, Waxahatchee is cool but I’m a bigger Swearin’ fan. My wife would probably be more into Jerry. I think we’ll try to stumble upon some local stuff. Thanks for all the help everyone!!!

Okily Dokily is a Ned Flanders themed metal band.
Oh yeah!!!! I’m very familiar and would 100% be down. But my wife would freaking hate that. Hahaha!!!!! I think I heard they’re breaking up after this tour.
just saw that Ian Noe's show at the BEast tomorrow night has been rescheduled for July due to covid. It's a bummer, but definitely a more justifiable reason than "I want to see a basketball game."
Saw The Dip at the Brooklyn Bowl last night. Oh He Dead opened for them and both put on a great show. It was my first show at the venue and I was really impressed with it. Honestly some of the best sound quality in the city and it has me even more stoked to see Houndmouth there later this month.

The secondary market for Nine Inch Nails on Sunday has absolutely cratered, get in price on Vivid Seats is $5, I found 100-level seats on StubHub for around $30. The seats I paid $125 each first hand, are surrounded by tickets in the $17 range. It's absurd

this is so tempting despite having finals on monday
just opened this thread to post about this. almost have to snatch up a $3 ticket just because.
also saw Houndmouth at the Brooklyn Bowl this past weekend and it's up there with the Basement East as one of my favorite venues in the city. Probably the best sound of any venue not named "Ryman"

Those resellers that didnt get their tickets refunded feel real dumb now. And yeah, get that dip! 100 level seats for $30 now.
So we’re in Nashville. We were going to see Nickel Creek today and tomorrow. While we were driving the shows were postponed because Chris damaged his vocal chords. We’re here so we decided to make the best of it and find another show. Last night we bought tickets for Neql Francis tonight. After we bought them the Watkins Family announced that they’re going to play a show tonight with friends and we can get in free. Anyone want Neql Francis tickets?
Is there a better thread for CMA Fest related questions? If not...
Anyone been to Ole Red for the Spotify House thing in the past? How crazy does it get? My buddy plays with Shaboozey and he just got announced as the surprise performance at 11:30pm on Saturday. Will be arriving in town that afternoon and would love to catch the set. I assume it's a complete shit show but any personal anecdotes from this event, Inforoo? (Seems like Turnpike Troubadours had a similar surprise slot last year.)

My wife and I got tickets to one of Jason Isbell's residency shows at the Ryman in October. We're bringing our kids and a friend to watch the kids during the show, and we'll be staying Friday to Sunday. I'm hoping someone has some suggestions regarding a) somewhere to get a dinner reservation near the Ryman before the show and b) fun stuff to do with our kids while we're there.

Fifth and Broadway has an amazing food court right across the street from the Ryman. Most of the top local Nashville restaurants are represented.
If you want more upscale, The Diner is a short walk. Ask for a reservation on one of the top floors. Views are amazing.
There are lots of upscale restaurants in the hotels scattered around downtown. But they cost an arm and two legs.
As for the kids, The Nashville Zoo, The Frist art museum, Centennial park with the Parthenon, Adventure Science Center, Lane Motor Museum if you like vintage cars, Flea market and Tennessee state Museum, Cheekwood, and the Goo Goo Chocolate Co. googoo.com where for $55 you can make your own custom candy bar.
I didn't even get into East Nashville, know as east nasty. Lots of fun places to eat over there.
