I was all like: cool, a new thread about bands playing Bonnaroo, I'm sure this will yield valuable information and not be completely ridiculous in every way
We could suck around and talk about dicks like the headliner thread ?
I mean, yeah, thanks for sharing my sentiments. I'm not sure if you're on my side because your pointless sarcasm is getting in the way.

I think you'll end up seeing Avetts in the MMJ spot from 2011. I don't think we'll get huge headliners that aren't playing other fests. Maybe Elton will be semi-exclusive but he could also announce some other headlining shows. One of the problems with booking headliners is that you have to get people who are either already planning on playing/touring or you have to get really lucky/persuasive.
I think it'll be more like last year where we'll have one big act and the other two will be solid acts but not anything super exclusive or epic or anything.
The really awesome stuff for Roo is usually the undercard stuff like Superjam and surprise guests/collaborations during late nights. Headliners are usually divisive depending on the music you like. I expect the same to happen this year.
I could see Outkast being billed 2-4...maybe it'll seem like 4 headliners like 2010 with Outkast taking the Jay-Z late night What slot after another big name headlines the what.

I felt that mumford bailing was the best thing for me and then the jack Johnson thing was even better. I got the best spot for perhaps one of the best superjams at roo in many years. I think having some form of Jim James on the farm every year will become somewhat of a regular thing.
With that being said. What's to stop AC from saying alright..
Here it is. "We have to top last year "
Prince - Elton John - (insert semi old relatively popular jam band / up and coming jam band with a huge catalogue) with another 2 almost headliners . In the mmj spot from 2011 Friday and Saturday??
What's you're theory ??
Also I nnotice as soon as the shit talking goes away everyone stops being interested ahah
Does anyone think that the lineup could be even better than other years because of the possibility that bonnaroo has a higher expectations from their fans because of previous lineups and experiences ?? because of this fact, do you see other potential headlining bands in different regions and festivals such as Outkast and My Morning jacket being billed lower ??
Bonnaroo didn't get Outkast.
At some point Im going back and counting the times this has been said.
