Now, get on the floor Dale, get on the floor (Red One) Let me introduce you to my party people In the club...
If you go hard you gotta get on the floor If you're a party freak then step on the floor If you're an animal then tear up the floor Break a sweat on the floor Yeah we work on the floor Don't stop keep it moving Put your drinks up! Pick your body up and drop it on the floor Let the rhythm change your world on the floor You know we're running sh*t tonight on the floor
I admittedly love Cake way more than I probably should.
That's impossible... I don't think you can show enough love for a quality band like Cake. Whether or not they are the answer to the clue- I don't know, and honestly don't care. I just want Cake at Roo.
I like that this doesn't seem as obvious as the last three.
Wondering if the floor factors in at all.
"Block" Party Party "Hard" (floor)
Any ideas?
Also noticed that the front runners of the first three clues were all electronic groups. Washed Out, Break Science, Chvrches. Think the streak is part of the clues, and we won't get a non-electronic group until next week?

Yesterday was Pitbull's birthday maybe him and Cappdogg celebrated together and the hat is left over from the party, Who let the dogs out.

Careful what ya wish for.
Somehow, I would be alright if Steve Aoki showed up like this. Cake in ANY form (the food or band) would be very welcome
With the radio hint, I gotta think it's Andrew W.K., unfortunately.
what's so unfortunate about that? andrew wk would be a helluva good time.
Meh he's not exactly my type. Can't say whether or not I'd see his show for a bit yet, but I'd much, much rather have Cake. It shouldn't be that hard to imagine someone out there not really being the biggest W.K. fan.

oh I'm not questioning you for being a fan at all, just confused as to what would be unfortunate about it. personally this clue to me seems a little ambiguous in pointing to either cake or andrew wk (both of which I think will be on the farm). I get that the radio clue had something to do with party, but it's a kids costume wizard hat on a tile floor, not really sure how that pertains to cake or andrew wk except for the party connection.

Cake is one of those bands I like which I cant stand the singer. There are a few great tunes in their but the monotone thing throws me off.
I hate when a singer ruins a perfectly good band, but I think his voice fits perfectly with their style. I'm usually pretty critical of that, and I never had an issue with Cake.

Yeah I honestly don't care if he goes or not. The "unfortunately" part of my post had to do with the clue being Andrew instead of Cake. I love Cake, and would have been pretty excited to get an early confirmation (I also believe both bands will be there). I agree, this clue is much more ambiguous than the others, but having seen how easy the first 3 were, I can't think they would make this one too hard. I'm choosing to ignore the background, as I think this is some stock picture of a party hat. Plus, if it were some of the other possible choices, I have to think they would have given a different clue on the radio. Again, it's just a hunch, but so far, Andrew W.K. makes the most sense for this new Twitter-friendly age of clues.

The song "Never There" is one of my favorites. "You Turn the Screws" and "Where Would I Be?" on their second album are good songs. I feel like its because he actually sings some words and uses pitch moreso than alot of other songs (especially the first album) in the catalog. The first album and the radio singles I am not a fan of.
But as I always tell folks, if ya have not seen a band live ya cannot pass full judgement. Radiohead turned me around in 1.5 songs.
I searched birthdays today just cuz I was bored and I found that Nick Valensi, the guitarist from the Strokes is today... Could this be a possible chance since they are already playing Gov's Ball?
Edit: and the trumpeter for DMB but I don't want this to be true
Music Midtown: 2011 Bonnaroo: 2012 - 2016 Forecastle: 2013 Rock al Parque: 2014 420 Fest: 2014-2018 Shaky Knees: 2015 - 2019, 2021 Seen tons of local shows since 2004.
Where are you seeing they're on hiatus?? I just went to their website and it says they're releasing a single on February 25th and are headlining their largest ever UK show to date around the same time......
It's gotta be bloc party, but what was the hint on roo radio that is making everyone think wk? Bc I'm not seeing the connection.
Edit: disregard the feb 25th date thing... I was looking at the wrong year, forgot it's 2014 now. But I'm still not seeing where they're on hiatus.

omg don't do that to me the strokes is my shit, I would cry if I got to see them on the farm again. can't wait to see them again at governors ball.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I could swear my grandma's kitchen counters were exactly that... so maybe it's not a floor. I was going to guess Starfkr before I heard the radio clue. Actually, before I heard the radio clue, I thought that this looked like a girl's princess hat rather than a party hat. It seems a little much if they were just going for "party hat." It would be so cool to see Cake! They're on my wishlist of bands.

The fact that it's red, white, and blue seems to me that it's like a 4th of July party, and not a birthday party? Or it could be both. I just have no idea what that could mean other than people whose birthdays are on July 4th...
