Figured I'd make a thread. Would really like to see them there in 2014, its the 10th anniversary of Transcendentalism, and they have a few album coming out, and they just announced their first tour date which is in May in upstate New York!

Fixed it for ya

Id like to hear them play Transatlanticism start to finish. It would be cool if Roo booked a few more special one-off sets like that. FLips doing Soft Bulletin, MMJ doing nuthin but covers, ect.

I'd love to see/hear this, too! That album and song are awesome. I've seen them do the song three times, and the crowd sing along always gives me goosebumps.

Heh, I wrote Transcendentalism, as well. Oops. But yeah, I was more talking about the entire album as a set. Something other than the norm festi-hits. Plus the last few records have been weak.
Saw them at the Beacon a year ago (or 2? who knows) with an Orchestra playing behind the band. Fantastic show. I'd love to see these guys on the farm.
i saw them with the orchestra too. i cant think of a better sounding show. the acoustics in there were incredible.
Seriously. Ban and the band were great. Add into it the orchestra, and the fact that it was at Beacon, it was quite the lasting impression. Leaves me worried that I might feel underwhelmed the next time I see them...
Wasnt able to see Postal Service when they went on a tour last year so this would help me release a lot of my built up teen angst. Hope roo comes through.

It always blows my mind that they've been at Bonnaroo...something about it seems out of place...but I'm happy to be wrong. I saw them in STL the same night the Cardinals were in a playoff game and Ben kept updating the crowd about the game and he was really excited to get to do it. They actually "jam" on their songs a lot more than most bands of that ilk, which is great. We Looked Like Giants in particular is raucous.

They announced they're playing at Boston Calling music fest in May....these announcements are playing with my heart getting me thinking this could mean they're playing Bonnaroo too.

I do believe that the one Bonnaroo Clue was for them. And not First Aid Kit. I didn't think there was a flag of a country but a cross representing Death.
