As pretty much everyone already said, Sleigh Bells and Broken Bells makes sense but I'm gonna go with HAIM because even though it's pronounced (Hi-um) most people still say it like Hay-m. And the radio clue said it MAY sound like the picture.

This guy, discophish08 (don't know how to link the name, sorry!), came up with something plausible that hasn't been discussed. He might be onto something....
As per discophish:
"Do people really believe Outkast won't be there? Anyone see yesterday's Roo Clue? It was a bale of hay and the radio clue said something to the extent of it not being the bands name. "hey ya" was my first thought."
That's certainly my second guess, but it doesn't really look like a broken bale. Looks like 1, fully in tact hay bale, and the scraps of hay that fell off of the other bales laying around it. I feel like needing to infer that it's broken in this picture wouldn't really fit the other clues. If it's a more complicated clue, it's probably broken bells. But I really get the feeling they're making these as easy as possible.

Ok, I know alot about bales of hay and straw. Farmer here. That technically is actually what is called a "round bale." All of these images being discussed, they are all round bales. BUT that being said, the average person isn't gonna have a clue about the differences in bales of hay and their minor differences.
I think the image is just trying to convey "hay bale." Round bales are always broken, cause they're never tied up anyway.
And, now, "bale" is starting to not seem like a word anymore.

Not by myself, but I've seen it done. My gf lives on a farm. It's obviously not as neat as the picture you posted, but the clue picture just looks like a stock picture of a hay bale with scrap hay all over the place to me.

Eh, either way though, I suppose it could easily be interpreted as "hay bale" or as "broken bale." Sure.
I just don't see any need to really stress about it: Sleigh Bells, Broken Bells- find out soon enough.
Yeah I'd definitely say it's a toss up. I'm just leaning towards easy answers for all of the clues this year, and sleigh bells takes a little less mental effort.

And, the bitch of it is that they'll probably both be there this year, and we'll never know for sure which one!

It's a clue for two, how tricky.
They gave the answers last year (http://www.bonnaroo.com/rooclues-revealed/), so I hope they do the same this year.

I'm gonna throw my hat in the two-pher ring as well. I really think both show up, and holy crap am I pumped to see Sleigh Bells after this new album drops.

It looks exactly like the two stock pictures I linked with the title "Broken hay bale on the field"

I'm not really sure what else to say... I think it's pretty obvious where we stand here. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it seems like you're beating a dead horse at this point. Just wait and see.

you talking about bitter rivals? it came out in october and it's awesome.

Hahaha no. I actually meant Broken Bells. This thread has defeated me. I don't know what's what anymore.

hahaha I was gonna say, little late there. this clue has to be sleigh bells, both them and broken bells will be there though. feeling like we can wrap this clue up now.

At least that horse will have something to eat if he is somehow re-animated. : )

Absolutely. Let's hope you're right btw, because Broken Bells would be a can't-miss for me.
Yeah, I'm really hoping for both (and I think the odds are good). If Sleigh Bells play again, though, let's hope the organizers have the good sense to put them on a stage this year.

i hope it's Haim. God, i hope it's Haim. i fell in love with them AFTER Roo, of course, but i do think they're primed for a repeat given the boss-status second-half-of-the-year they had. Fingers crossed!
