Hopefully this doesn't already exist but Donald Glover's awesomeness came up in the BLAM thread and I thought a new thread might be in order. Maybe a little pointless to start one of these 2 weeks before the lineup announcement but what does everyone think? I would be all about a Childish Gambino set. The new album makes him seem more likely. He's a really multi-talented guy. Great wordplay in his raps and he was absolutely hilarious on Community. Hopefully he will make an appearance!

I've emailed his people and they hate me and haven't responded. I know his new album isn't great but what I saw of his show 2 years ago was awesome and turned me into a huge fan. Playing 2 festivals that Bonnaroo is in between so I think he will be there. Maybe I'm just hoping.
Both him and Chance the Rapper are going to be at a multitude of festivals this year, and I'd be really, really surprised if we don't get both of them. I imagine they'll both be playing the same day, and will make cameo appearances at each other's sets. CG's set in '12 was a bit of a letdown for me, but between the lack of shade and the sound issues, the Which just isn't a great stage to perform on. I've also enjoyed CG's music less and less since Culdesac, so that might have something to do with it as well.

i actually got into it at the start of the show cuz i liked joel mchale on the soup and figured i'd give it a shot. i was so bored over winter break time this year that i've even watched the commentaries on the first two season and i NEVER do that, but i love it so much i had to. season 4 sucked but season 5 is good again with dan harmon doing the writing/creating
Is he still doing standup? The guy is going through a really hard time because apparently somebody close to him died.. That's why he quit community, he said he just didnt really feel like laughing (which also explains his last album).
That would explain why he has been acting weird. I never read why he was leaving community.
I also heard he wanted to focus on his rap career as well. The show was in turmoil for a while with Dan Harmon, the show's creator, being fired. Now that Harmon is back, the show has been hilarious this season and a renewal is likely. Hopefully Glover can make some guest appearances every now and again. I don't blame him for wanted something more stable though. I do like his older rap better but Because The Internet hit number 1 on iTunes for a few days. I was glad to see him find success in another medium. Super talented guy.
