I too loved this movie but when I looked to my wife to confirm the cinematic glory she said “well I don’t know what to think about the movie except that guy seemed like kind of an asshole didn’t he?”.

Few things make me face the reality of my increased responsibility as I age like this book/movie. I read it for the first time my junior year of college and loved the idea of how he threw the expectations of society away to carve his own path. Twenty years later with a career/kids/etc., I can't help but think about how he really should have planned that shit out more.
