Just got verbal confirmation from the bassist: White Denim is a YES for Bonnaroo!
Awesome! They were great their first year. One of my favorite sets that year, actually. I only know two albums of theirs but need to try and find their older stuff.
So I just saw them two nights in a row at the iconic Troubadour in West Hollywood.
Tonight and yesterday included: - Direct Bonnaroo confirmations from Bassist, Guitarist, and Drummer. - Front row both nights - Setlist - Autographs from all band members on my "Live at Third Man" record. - The most earth shattering and holy rendition of "At the Farm" I have ever seen. - The cleanest of the clean vibes.

Soooooo stoked for White Denim for Bonnaroo. Holy crap the kicked major ass. I can't erase the smile from my face right now.

Sounds like you had an amazing time. Nice to hear about so many confirmations. I hope they get a late night. Or at least an evening tent slot. I would hate for them to be put on the Which during the day.

Great to hear they'll be back. I chose Moon Taxi over them in 2012, which was my favorite Thursday show that year, but I'm still bummed I missed White Denim. What stage/slot do we think they'll get? Early evening tent? Afternoon Which?

One of the best sets of 2012. It was also the first time I witnessed the "Kick @ss Vacuum." It occurs when a band is kicking so much @ss to a packed crowd, but suddenly everybody moves forward 5 or more feet at the same while people sprint in from the rear. You think there is no room to move, but the band's @ss kicking sucks the crowd torward the front. And it occurs several times. It's an amazing thing to witness.

It was a GREAT (and long) show! They played their hearts out into the wee hours of the morning, and the crowd was on board for the whole show (which is saying a lot for crowds here). It was my first time seeing them and I was very impressed. They sounded both smooth and gritty at the same time. I hope the schedule allows me to see them at roo.
About 1 or 2 songs in, a severely intoxicated dude with a horrible mustache jumped on stage and was dancing around and being disruptive (the stage is too small for extra drunk people). The singer asked him to leave and then shoved him by the face into the wall. He later apologized for "that weird shiz earlier" but the crowd just cheered, haha.
Really enjoyed the opener, Clear Plastic Masks, too.
