It's official, my fiancé proposed to me last weekend and we're getting married! When we started to think about the wedding itself, we knew we wanted something REALLY special. My dream is to get married at roo, which is appropriate since we've spent every summer that we've been together at the magical place! We already put out an S.O.S. on Reddit Here for an ordained individual, but the more I think about it I think we're gonna need a lot of creative ideas and some help to make this happen. Of all the people in the world, the roo crowd are some of the most friendly, helpful, and creative bunch I've ever met. I'm wanting something crazy unique and really special. We have a huge group of friends coming along for our special event, but we'd love to have all of you crazy kids celebrate with us too. Anyway, I need help planning this thing. As a girl, I want the whole shebang. I want a dress (I'm thinking lots of color, sparkles, and tulle), flowers, champagne (anybody know how to make that happen?), cake, booze, flowers, booze, sparkles, and just a really awesome time.
I'm sorry for this unorganized mess of a post, but I'm just so excited. Ultimately, all I'm looking for is some collaboration on creative ideas. I really want it to be an awesome wedding.
Videographers, photographers, and ordained persons… if you're interested in helping us out please don't be shy!
This is SOOO cool! I am obsessed with weddings so allow me to get a little excited with you!
What I do know is that you can't legally be married by anyone who is ordained by Universal Life Church or anything like that in Tennessee. You need to have an ordained religious official or a judge or justice of the peace do it.
Second, there is canned champagne so you can avoid the glass issue. It's by Sofia Coppola and comes in little pink cans. There may be other brands but that is the only one I know about. Cake is another issue bc a traditional cake (or anything with buttercream) will melt. Maybe you could consider some non-traditional favorites such as a doughnut tower or something "dry" like that.
Anyway, there's a start for your research and planning. I'm a big fan of Pinterest for weddings and for Bonnaroo plans so maybe that's a good place to start.
Finally, this couple got married at Bonnaroo 2012 so if you're on Twitter you may want to strike up a convo with them. Best of luck!
Congratulations! I think it would be cool if you did a night wedding and wore stuff that went with the neon/glow in the dark thing they got going on this year. You mentioned wanting a colorful dress. Why not go pink, green, and blue like Bonnaroo this year? If you could get that to light up somehow it'd be awesome. Bonnaroo doesn't allow glowsticks, but maybe you can get some kind of cheap light up sticks to create a similar effect. If you picked the right night, maybe you could get some volunteers to make 2 lines and create a pseudo-aisle for you both to walk down. Tons of cool possibilities if you go that route!

The FLips are going to be there. You should ask Wayne to marry ya. I think he's done weddings a half dozen times now.
He said yes to marrying us at One Big Holiday, we just didn't run into him after that to get it all worked out, so he is up for that, just getting it worked out.
Also, how many weddings are we up to now? We have mine and Whoreshack's, and I think a few others have mentioned it. The year of the Bonnaroo wedding I guess.
My wedding garb is an awesome Attitudes Tutu, some kind of rainbow unicorn bustier, maybe the full unicorn shebang. Who knows.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

You seem really excited about the booze prospect so you should get in touch with some of the brewers that will be int he Broo tent and see if they'll set aside a keg for you and your guests. Or just buy everyone a million drink tickets.

I just got ordained to marry people at Roo a couple weeks ago (I was talking to them on reddit). The American Marriage Ministry is what I went through and it seems on there website it could work if we just talk to the country clerk. Here is what the website shows, if you know more please let me know. I wanna marry some people!

I would check specifically with the Coffee County clerks office since that info is for the state of Tennessee in general but that's awesome if you can do it! Here's the phone number if you want to call and gather some info to make sure the marriages you perform will be legal: (931) 723-5110

I am also a photographer and I work at every Bonnaroo. I'd be glad to help out. I also live near Manchester and can help scope things out a bit if needed.

Hey guys I'm a long time follower of the boards I also happen to be the groom. We are trying to find anyone who could "legally" perform the ceremony on the farm. We are staying in Murfeesboro Wednesday which is where we will have to file all the paperwork. The plan is for the Wedding/Party to take place around 3 p.m. at the chapel in pod 2 on Thursday so we don't mess with any schedules too bad. We both hope that anyone and everyone comes to witness. This is such a memorable part of our lives every year and I personally can't wait to make it that much more magical this year. We would love any and all photographers and film makers to document this special event so that we can have some sort of physical memory to look back on. We are would be extremely happy for all of you to showcase your artistic abilities as long as you let us have a copy so that we could use it at our home. We of course will give all credit to the artists. We sincerely hope that as many of you as possible can make it. Hopefully we can make this a spectacle that will create a fun and lasting memory for everyone involved. Much love to everyone who has already gotten excited for us you are the reason why we 'Roo. Anyone who wants to help can PM me and i'll get up with you asap I work a lot. Everyone else Pod 2 THURSDAY bonnaroo be there or be square.
So the bride and groom are officially disappointed that yet AGAIN Bonnaroo's website has cheated us out of tier 2 pricing. I was in the site right on time, and when I hit checkout, it put me back in a waiting que. After COUNTLESS error messages, the second checkout led me to the realization that tier 2 was no longer available. UGH Bonnaroo, why do you do this to us on our wedding year?

If you do anything at night, you can pretty much count out any good videos and pictures.
I'm a photographer and my cuz is a videographer and we'll be together. We may could help out if needed. Only problem is it's hard to get good equipment in without them taking and holding it when you get searched.
You guys are so awesome for reaching out to us! The more the merrier! We're planning on wedding at the chapel in Pod 2 in the afternoon on Thursday. Your support and attendance is greatly appreciated! PM me if you want to talk about this further! We are so thankful for all you awesome roovians willing to make our day so amazing!

I am also a photographer and I work at every Bonnaroo. I'd be glad to help out. I also live near Manchester and can help scope things out a bit if needed.
