Does anyone know if and how to connect a laptop or smartphone to a ps3 via wifi to watch streaming media. I'm having some friends over to watch blam and wanted to watch it on my tv, but my tv doesnt have a vga input to hook up my laptop.

Personally I don't know how to connect the two but shouldn't there be a way you can go onto youtube on your ps3 to find it?

Create a UK user account and you can download their Youtube app. It will be available in your US account when you go back to your account. Other apps not available in the US are available their and on the Japan version too.

PS3 browser sucks balls. However if you have a HDMI on your TV but not on the laptop you might consider getting a Chromecast for $35. Then you can stream from laptop to television over your wireless network. Unfortunately that feature is not supported in the Chrome mobile (phone) version but if the stream happens to work in the YouTube app (live streams usually don't likely load, even if Bonnaroo uses YouTube for the stream) you may be in business using your phone as the host.
I'll be using my chromecast as well (I highly recommend it btw) but the important question is how will it be streamed? I have a feeling they won't be using YouTube because of the partnership with Microsoft, but we shall see.

That's an excellent point but wouldnt you think the would appeal to the masses. Not just xbox users?

I'd hate it if they didn't use YouTube, but I could see them using something like UStream like they did for the fest last year just in order to be a better partner to Microsoft.

Whatever I guess. As long as I can get it somewhere

If ya don't mind me asking how do you create a UK account, I'm trying to watch the hockey game on sunday through my ps3 and i'm worried i'm going to have to end up watching it on my phone
