With regards to how Glastonbury did this year, I am impressed but even more so with our friends at Superfly. I haven't been back to broo since my third trip in 2008, and I really only regret missing 2013. This year the lineup is so deep, you could fall in. We get skrillex twice, we get Yeezy who will without question give an inspiring performance, we get Sir Elton John and Lionel Richie, they get Dolly Parton and Blondie - I feel this favors us with advantage. I would like to see Neil added. If I can't get that, maybe some EOTO
I was at 08 and I've let it go in exchange for complete enthusiasm for Kanye and the show he will bring us this summer. Can't wait to see you all on the farm.
What in the holy blazes are you talking about? Glastonbury's lineup isn't even out yet, and all respect to Bonnaroo for putting together their best lineup ever, but even then Glastonbury will dwarf it. That's just the nature of the beast.
All I know is if Glastonbury gets Prince this year, as rumored once again, me and JHOinTN are gonna hurt somebody. And yes, as good as Bonnaroo's lineup is, it can never compare to Glastonbury. It's not even fair to try to compare the two.

They already announced Dolly Parton, which irritates me to no end because I want to see her BADLY.
Prince would not surprise me because, obviously it would be this year.

Their lineup is not out, those two artists have confirmed. We can agree that this is their (Bonnaroo) best lineup to date.
Right, I understand that Dolly Parton and Blondie have confirmed for Glasto. I was just confused as to why you were (apparently) citing those two acts as evidence that Glasto booked a shoddy lineup, or that Bonnaroo's was better.

Glasto headliners are fairly common knowledge here despite not being officially confirmed. Arcade Fire Friday Prince Saturday Kasabian Sunday.
Dolly plays the 'legends' Sunday afternoon slot which is usually a lot of fun. I saw Shirley Bassey and Ray Davies but skipped Neil Diamond the years I've been.

Son of a *&^#%$@&(#$$!!!
Are you SURE about Prince? Because we heard Prince last year too. Then our hearts were broken with Mumford and Sons.
If you'll read, you will see that I said I was impressed with what was initially coming out of camp glastonbury. Collect yourself, it's alright.
Right, but then you said you were more impressed with Bonnaroo, as if you thought that Blondie and Dolly Parton were the sum of Glasto's lineup. I was just confused as to why you would make that comparison against a festival which has yet to release its lineup.

Apparently he gave the nod to a couple of reliable journalists while he was here doing guerilla gigs last month.
Eavis has been trying for years. Prince accused him of using his name to sell tickets a few years ago so it always seemed unlikely but at the press conferences here he refused to deny he was playing which he has always done previously.
Like everything else in life until it is officially confirmed then it might not be true but among those in the know then it is taken as fact. (I'm not one of those in the know sadly)
In other news, there is going to be an unfortunate amount of conflicting shows with this lineup :-(
Hey, this is Inforoo, a discussion board. People from all over the world come here to talk, and discuss things with each other. Try to make sense, mkay? If you don't, people are going to inform you that what you're saying makes no sense, because it screws with the flow of the topic.
So, let's stop pretending that Glasto has released headliners, and lets please stop comparing those imaginary headliners to headliners that actually exist.

You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Lockn' looks like the bomb. side by side stages, never missing a set, blue ridge mountains, bike trails, smaller crowd, actual touring professional musicians, awesome. may be there meself. keep up the good works, your writing is only reason i check this site anymore!(besides occasional sh*tting on kayndashian headlining)

How did you suffer the brain damage that you obviously have?

Just heard Emily Eavis deny this on the radio this morning. That's probably a good sign for you. Looks like those in the know aren't so reliable after all.

I'm sorry for you guys but I just let out a big sigh of relief. How horrible am I?

Not in the slightest, I'm not going either so I'm pleased. I'm lucky enough to have seen Prince but that doesn't change the fact I want Roo to be the standout bill this year.

Even without Prince I'd imagine Glastonbury will top Bonnaroo. It's kind of foolish even discussing Glasto with respect to the U.S. festivals, because the sheer amount of artists they book completely overwhelms what you'd get here. I generally just assume that every act or near every act I'd want to see in any given year will be at Glastonbury, because that's just how they do things.
How many bands playing this year have members who are members of other popular bands too? Like James Mercer in Broken bells from the Shins. Is there a thread for this?
