No prob bud, i wouldn't venture in to the confirmations thread, that's where the Headliner thread people dispersed to, but insider made a very brief appearance. I imagine every time he/she logs on they have to laugh at how this forum acts.
I'm pretty sure at least 'brick house' will be on the set list.
def Brick house. It looks like he does 4-5 Commadores songs per set.
A lil browsing on Setlist FM and it looks like you aren't leaving a Lionel Richie set without hearing Your Are, Hello, Brick House, All Night Long, and We are the World.
Anyone have any good childhood memories involving Lionel Richie? I am from Mississippi, a state rooted in racism that is working towards overcoming that (although it has a long way to go with LGBT rights). My family is from Mississippi but very welcoming to everyone (no matter their sex, race, etc). I remember my grandmother playing Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston records on her record player when I was a kid. That was her two favorite artists (until Luther Vandross came along).
I think I might have to catch Lionel if he comes to Roo.

I remember riding in the back of my mom's white Celebrity listening to Lionel Richie cassettes.

He was one of my mom's favorites, I bought her a Christmas album of his one year. She passed away a few years ago so I'll be enjoying his set for the both of us

I'm sorry, but how the fuckk is Lionel Richie a headliner?
I'm not saying I don't want to see him, I'm not disparaging his music; I'm just saying, if he's a headliner, the bar has been lowered. It isn't like Lionel Richie is in high demand or selling out arenas nationwide.

I'm not even going to disagree with you. I will definitely be at his set.
I feel the same way about Jack White and I'm a self-professed Jack White fanboy.
I suppose the rationale is that we're getting a 2 for 1 deal on Saturday night, and I'm actually okay with it. The more I think on it, the more I understand it (especially with the depleting pool of traditional "headliner" caliber acts available); but I think it could actually mark a change in trend.
