I just have a hard time believing that they would pick 5 Lorde shows to bill on a list that includes nothing but past/present Bonnaroo artists.
I think it's just a coincidence, to be honest. They're targeting shows which might boast a patronage of the type likely to consider Bonnaroo as an option. Moreover, I really don't think there's room for Lorde on this bill. I don't think there's room for much of anything, it's packed tight as is. I can barely fit these artists into mock schedules now.
Off topic but, how was the J Cole/Chance the Rapper show?
I worked it for my job (I work at the basketball stadium at UF), I was hoping to get a good security spot or the like so I could walk around and basically do nothing as the show occurred but I got screwed with a shitty position. I sat at a table where all the artists and production people came through and essentially did nothing for eight hours. I could barely hear either of them too well, the sound system in the stadium sucks. I got head nods from both of them so that's cool I guess?

We have 117 on the line-up now(minus comedians and Funkiest Dancer from the list). That is about what we had last year total. The only way they can make a few additions if they expand more sets on Thursday and Sunday or have a few more 1 hour sets this year.

I was just trying to do this in my head.
Fri-Sun 5 on each stage (before ln) 25x3 = 75
They could do 2 acts per late night on the which and three tents = 16
So thats 91. Isn't there usually like 6-7 per tent Thursday? We could say 20
That'd only be 111. Could any of the bottom acts be Cafe? Maybe Thursday will be extended in both directions. One more set per tent before and after the usual times. That would be 6 more and equal 117.
Really hope we aren't getting a bunch of shorter sets on fri-sun. The poster says much more tba. That could just mean cafe, comedy, and cinema though.

I don't recall them ever releasing cafe bands with the tent/stage acts on the initial line-up.

We could be looking at 1-2 tent/stage adds and thats it. Or just none.

I feel you, I've worked in booking for a local festival the last few years and I miss most of the artists I'm really excited about because I'm putting out fires or picking up people from the airport or whatever.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Yeah! Their album release and NYE were both at Exit/In too. It's definitely their home court. It's also a block from my office, but that won't do much good since they're slated to come on at midnight. haha.
I'm still surprised there's no one from TDE on the lineup. I know we had Kendrick last year and Schoolboy was there for the Superjam. I expected Schoolboy to have his own slot this year, Isiah Rashad possibly too. Black Hippy in my dreams....
I know Earl's been mentioned a couple times but this is one artist I thought Bonnaroo would 100% bring in 2014 since he had to cancel last year and he's on several lineups this summer. Feel like any capacity of Odd Future (not counting Frank...) would make for a unique Bonnaroo show (I know...they all are) OF love to bring out one another for their solo shows aka Earl and Frank could come to each others sets to do Super Rich Kids and Sunday. Would be incredible!

I was really bummed Earl wasn't on the line up this year, but this exact thought went through my head last night. The OF guys never travel alone. They are always with some other OF members, whether they show up on stage or not. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Earl came along with Frank, to make it up to his fans for last year. However when I saw Mellowhype it was supposed to be with Domo, but he never did anything besides stand on stage and watch the show.

I was talking to the band Streets of Laredo after their show here in Atlanta opening for Rathborne (who is amazing, playing at Sasquatch but not 'Roo), and they'll be one of the additions, they said. They reminded me a bit of Lord Huron, and they put on a good show, even though the crowd was small. They'll win over some fans on one of the smaller stages.
Most of them are from New Zealand (living in NYC now), and loving America. Super nice guys, and they all said Bonnaroo was the one show they were all really looking forward to, so I'm sure they'll bring it.
Mike Farris has been playing some Screamin Cheetah Wheelies songs recently. I know this doesn't mean much to 99% of you but they were my favorite band of all time. He's local and has played Roo several times before. I'd give anything to see him on the farm again.
I know the odds of Beck are low, but his dates are interesting
Nothing in May, and he's in Delaware for Firefly and has two shows in Ohio the third week of June.
Was just about to post this. I think it is very possible. The dates make sense for him to start that leg of his tour at bonnaroo.
We can dream right!? I honestly think we are missing someone close to that size just at a glance at the lineup compared to previous years. Was thinking Beck might be reaching a bit too high but you guys have got me crossing my fingers again.
Im not saying it will happen but it is definitely possible looking at those dates. It would be a pretty big add. We normally don't see a top 5 add but I have a glimmer of hope
