Beck Odd Future or Earl alone The War on Drugs Tobacco(won't happen) The Black Angels Sky Ferreria The Night Beats Tame Impala again Cayucas Portugal. The man again and..everyone I'm seeing at Counterpoint...(basically the whole lineup is different)
I asked the GF of one of the band members if they'd be playing back in early Feb and she gave a very reluctant "maybe". Took that to mean no. But I'm getting my jam fix by (hopefully) going to The Werk out here in Columbus(ish) in September. 3 sets of the Werks & Popadosio.
I was just coming back to post this... there seems to be a "March - April - March - April" pattern there. That would put this year as March, but who knows...

I guess maybe is better than no. It's all good, I'll be seeing them twice before roo anyways, once at the dark star jubilee and again in Lexington or Cleveland, probably Lexington. I just have been imagining a werks + Umphreys superjam dance fest! I can still dream lol
New Foster the People just came out, sounds pretty sick, especially the singles. Are they too big to add? Also, this has probably been discussed, but whats the largest artist added later on? The biggest I can think of was Fun. in 2012, simply because they exploded post-lineup.
Speaking of fun., I think Bleachers is a good possibility just based on Jack's history with Bonnaroo and an album coming out later this spring and he's mentioned a lot of touring.

I think Foster The People is too big to add. They'd be top 3 lines I think. I don't see it happening. Also, they played a Which Pre-Headline in 2012, they would only go up from there and I don't think there's enough room.
That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing them. I got to see them in Chicago on their last tour and was really impressed. Their live show is much better than I expected.

I saw the 2012 show, and was thoroughly impressed. Definitely in my top 10. But I think they haven't gotten any more popular/accomplished since then. I could see them playing the same set, just a slightly larger audience.
I think this is supposed to be a reference of who might be an addition because they had to wait until these shows before announcing for roo so that roo doesn't pull people away from their local show.

When you say 'pretty sick', you mean like vomit or diarrhea, right?

I am really afraid for the additions because there is already so much that I am fearful of overlapping....however I woul dlove to see Childish Gambino and Manchester Orchestra added. I know MO has a new album coming out and will be touring.
They're at the Ryman the day after Roo. Is there any precedent for a band doing that before? I know Divine Fits played 3rd Man the Monday after Roo last year but I feel like that's totally different.

I remember in 2009 being excited at the thought of more bands being announced, but then being ultimately let down by the additions. So to stifle my own excitement, I'll just assume that whatever is added will undoubtedly be nothing of interest to me.
But in a perfect world The Replacements, Television, and Deerhunter would be added, and we'd see reunions for Sonic Youth (I will never give up on them) and Fugazi.
It'll like be a bunch of smaller acts that I have no wish to see but will definitely make a few people happy.

I'm almost never excited by the additions. I try to keep my expectations to getting one act I want to see added.
